No probably wont mate and our season depends on the fitness of Holdsworth to a great degree. The failure to get the targets in the close season will be expensive every time Holdsworth doesn't play.

i can only see a top 8 finish this year and then a big pre-season trying to find a 7 again and until we get one i fear the worst for the club

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'd quite happily swap Briscoe's reported massive contract offer for a massive contract offer for a no7. No point having a quality winger if your passing and kicking game is a shambles.

Use Briscoes wages to get a 7 and upgrade Linehams contract as this kid will be as good as Briscoe and could go on to be better.

Use Seymour's wages to get a 7.

Got to get shut 1st and seeing as he has played this season,his salary counts towards cap.

I'd rather we kept our best players and got rid of the e ones (especially the high earning ones). That's how you build a winning team imo. Not continually losing the better ones and replacing them with lesser individuals. There's plenty of room for Briscoe/Lineham and a quality scrum half if someone does their job properly.

Problem is we only have 1 creative/organising player, no real strike players and only 1 winger who is really capable of creating something out of nothing. The whole squad is bang average

I agree with the general thrust of your point, but I think we have two wingers who can create something from nothing. I also think McDonnell could be a useful strike player if we sort out the problems in the middle.

A top class 7, centre and prop would make a big difference to our side.

The reality is, we must go all out for a 7. If I was Pearson I would be doing it now for next season. Maybe he is, lets hope so.

Agreed, it's just seems to be a huge problem finding that elusive number seven.

Getting a "no" from Prince plus Lopini Paea turning us down were massive blows to our top four aims this season.

If I remember correctly to try and bring a youngster in from the NRL with no first grade experience has visa issues.
I think hull need to move heaven and earth to get a Top grade 7 in.
And I think if they do not achieve this, I fear hulls next season pass sales will fall.

Everyone remembers that we already tried to throw money around to get a top class 7, right? It just isn't that simple any more. Top halves are in short supply both here and in the NRL.

It helps if the passer makes something of an effort to get it to his team mate's hands. When Westerman was criticised for his knock on at the end of last night's game, Waldorf & Statler reckoned it was meant for the winger, if so, it would either have ended up on his bootlaces or 2 metres infield from him. it was a crap pass, simple as
