Leon Pryce?

Disagree, we need a new 7 and utilise Obst the same as this year - hooker and back up half.

Horney played well this season, looking sharper each match and taking on the line well. We all know he doesn't have a long kicking game which is why we need a new 7 who can stay on the pitch and provide this.

Actually I would not be too unhappy with that, he is a class player.

if we aspire to win things then I agree.

His kicking game has deteriorated (it is poor now)..He has lost a lot of pace and often now makes the wrong decisions..He does have the odd good game, however if we want to challenge this is no where near good enough. I would be gutted if we give him a new contract.

Depending what is on the market and if the price is right, I would say yes. Would go well with Gleeson.

I like that Patrick Ah Van, looks a good player.

His long kicking game is fairly poor, but short kicking game is still good IMO.

Maybe he should go and we bring in someone else, and maybe my black and white glasses are deceiving me.

However I certainly think we need a new 7 and 1 more then we need a new 6, so I wouldn't be gutted if we kept him at all, as long as we recruited well in those areas.

We don't need wingers or kickers and he doesn't make a great impact IMO.

Pryce would be a good signing but has injury problems.

How's Ratchford going?

Well hopefully Sharpe will improve because so far he is not doing it for me either, and Lyne is no where near ready



Mind you I like Whiting outside Gleeson and I would also like to see how Turner goes outside Gleeson, so maybe you are right Tom we will not need a winger

I like Sharp a lot, I think him and Gleeson have the potential to work really well together.

Lyne is no where near ready yet, he needs to go on loan somewhere to gain more confidence. Still only young but needs to keep challenging himself.

I would like to keep Turner in the centres, he is the perfect mould for a great centre IMO. Big, strong, fairly quick and has good hands. Would rather have him push into the back row then the wing.

I think you maybe right about Lyne, a season loan in the Championship would either make or break him....Turner would be good on the wing, similar attributes as Briscoe, like you say big, strong and quick.

Ratchford been playing in the centre a bit hasn't he? With Smith and Holdsworth in the halves.

Getting O'Meley signed up for an extension should be a priority

I don't rate him personally, good kicker and not much else.

On that list I would be happy with Melling, Grix or Greenshields at fullback and Mason and/or Prescott as props.

Clint Greenshields would be a great signing but can't see him coming to be honest. I'd also have said Luke Patten before he joined Salford at the start of the year, but it looks like he hasn't been anything special so far.
