Royal Mail only have the monopoly on the final process (delivering mail), it is a free market and Tnt, DHL etc deliver mail (packets), they now own a large percentage of mail ( letters) and work with royal mail, they process the mail themselves then hand it over to royal Mail for final delivery.
Royal Mail lost the monopoly several years ago

stop moving the goal posts
hull city frooze their season passes last season which was directly because of there performance as a team.
I can see the goal post moving again in response to this

Seriously there must be thousands upon thousands upon thousands of companies whose shareholders are less than impressed with performance. Do these same shareholders also stipulate that the companies must not increase their product prices until all problems are solved and they are profitable ? Of course they don't
'"
sorry for being vague but I meant on the same day as acknowledging the fans.
You wouldn't see a company come out and say
"thankyou for continuing to buy our below standard product, even though it doesn't work very well"

So I'm not sure how I've moved the goal posts at all when I then say that Hudds didn't do it because of previous season's performance. I think it may have been you doing the 'goal relocation' not me.

If they came out and said this fair enough but I don't recall it. If they said it was a payback to fans loyalty etc. that is different.

| just because they don't come out and say things doesn't mean it never happened.
If huddersfield had have been flying high 2 seasons ago I don't think they would have made the same offer
The proof will be in next seasons prices as the play-offs have proven that there supporter base hasn't increased

OK let's both cut the crap .
ATEOTD I think it is good value after the previous price freezes. When I buy my pass and turn up next season the last two seasons will be a distant memory. This has been the same for me since 1972. If what happened the previous season had ever affected my decision making I would have stopped going in 1973 as we weren't exactly ripping it up at that time. I think my Dad used to pay about 20p for me to get in Gordon Street turnstile so yes £225 or whatever it is does consitute an increase but that's life.
I'm happy that my lad's pass is the same price as last year and offers free away games. Living out of town I'm happy that if on the rare occasions I can't get to a game because work prevents me getting there in time I can re-use the voucher at another game for someone else.
The bottom line is if you're not happy don't buy one. if you are then do. As for the sales pitch that comes from the club who cares ? I don't spend large parts of my day worrying about how the club worded the release on pass sales. The prices are listed in the brochure and that's how much they cost. Either pay the money and buy one or don't.

| Never really looked at this before but with some people moaning about our prices i decided to compare with other teams seated passes
Hull £225 (Reserved)
Rovers £260
Bradford £196 or £226 (depending on location in main stand)
Cas £209-£219
Celtic £221/£260
Hudds £170-£210
Quins £275 (maybe cheaper prices in diff sections but a poor setup for viewing prices)
Leeds £245-£274
Salford £223
Saints £232-£270
Wakefield £196-224
Warrington £191
Wigan £207-£242
Most teams offer a renewal offer and a family ticket offer.
Considering the prices on offer i think we come out well in that.
One gripe is the fact we do not have any loyalty bonus(you would think after the last 2 seasons there would be one) nor do we offer family tickets (a simple saving on a family ticket could mean the difference between father and son attending instead of both parents and 1 or 2 children)

Compare match day prices, we ARE expensive. It's a big factor in putting away fans off attending the KC

At the end of the day i don't care about opposing fans, the more black and white we can get in the better.

The match day prices stop people with cash flow limitations from attending, if you can't afford Season Passes you're shafted by the club for match day.

we have better facilities than a lot of the clubs mentioned in the list. granted the main thing for fans is performance on the pitch but should prices reflect the level of comfort at the stadium too?

This also ensures more people buy season tickets, hell its great marketing at the end of the day how many non season pass holders will have continued to pay good money to watch the rubbish we churned out week in week out?

Haven't they made attempts to ease "cash flow limitations" by introducing a direct debit scheme?

So as an example
would you as a travelling fan prefer to pay £21 at Hull, sitting in a seat, covered from the rain if it is raining etc.
Or
£20 at Rovers to sit in a golf stand?
Or
Between £18-£23 to watch at the brewery field??

Yes but if they did that, you would get the complaints from the season ticket holders, we already saw how some people reacted to the free tickets given out for the Quins game.

NO
It's cheaper to put your money in a tin in october, november and pay in december. I cannot think of a single reason why any sane person would take disadvantage of the direct debit system
