I agree to some extent, but Leeds are a good side. We had a 20 min bad spell, pretty dominant the rest.

Has anyone else noticed how Thaler referees games ? First half one side gets all the decisions massive penalty count for or against, second half other side get everything and more so his stats at the end say just about even , just like Ganson used to do . Every game he reds it happens , and to be honest it ruins the game . Really enjoyed the game tonight , our defence was awesome, attack at times was slow and predictable but a cracking win . They All stood up tonight

Yeah agreed. We just completely lost our way for 20 minutes. Far too many penalties and when we actually managed to get hold of the ball again we dropped it (or threw that one forward pass). Other than that we dominated them. Yeah scrappy at times but if Sneyd was on form with his kicking then the scoreline would have looked a little nicer. Least he got the one that mattered.

We’ve just beaten the champions, perhaps some commensurate praise is in order.

Great result, abd great team effort well done to us for hanging in. Dumb pens and some shocking officiating kept them in that.

A decent 2 points and much needed but we should have been more convincing than that against a Leeds side missing a lot of forwards, dropping the amount of balls from kicks or going into touch that they did, plus the times they passed to the ground behind the man. Our passing is still too slow, play still breaks down when it gets to shaul and we just don't run on to the ball. Saying that we are in the mix for the top 4 and we haven't clicked yet

Hadley’s engine is incredible. Shows what we’ve been missing.

Good balanced interchange and at right times, having a fully fit back row to start does help but rotating players even if that means putting inexperienced youngsters in place of another player can only pay dividends. Whilst we've had some injuries the last month is the first time he's really done it to the full extent he could, trusting to the younger players will reap rewards at the back end and if we lose with a few kids in there I'm not about to have a meltdown because the long term benefit either end of season or next season and beyond is actually more important. Mix in Litten to spell Houghton, Brad Fash and even a couple of the others down the pecking order in some eyes and it means senior players are fresher and maybe even less likely to get an injury.

Came over to applaud the Hull fans again, when it would be easy to slope off after a defeat.

Good that we showed some resilience to come back but some really dumb rugby to let them back into a game we really should have won by 20 points.

When was the last time sneyd kicked at 25%?

If we ever actually put am 80 minute performance in we'll take some beating but we still have these periods in games where we switch off mentally

I know he's not done much since scoring 5 at Wembley but I'd bring him home in a heartbeat if there was an open spot. His strength would really suit how we use our backs.

Anyone for Overseas trip to watch Hull FC in warmer climates ?

I thought leeds were pretty average and they would be much better with garbutt, singleton and sutcliffe in their side but we still struggled to put them away. At 14 nil we were completely on top and then we switch off again and suddenly find ourselves back pedalling and unable to do anything about it. The fact we stemmed the tide and ended up winning is a massive tick in a box for me but if we could find a way to concentrate for the full 80 we'd be there or thereabouts at season's end.

Play like that against saints and cas and we lose.

Interesting that it was our forwards, rather than our outside backs who made the metres this week

Agree with this ,good post, how many times did our forwards take the ball almost stood still, don't get me wrong, thought mickey and taylor was excellent last night, but could do so much more in opposition 20 if steaming on to the ball
