pleased that we have decided to both pay a transfer fee for someone, and 2nd gone for a up and coming player rather than simply signing players on their reputation.

Very shrewd signing. It was touted we would be making 3 more signings, tansey is one so who are the other two? I personally think tony will stay next year, meaning it should be a prop and a creative centre. Agar has done well recruiting so far and maybe we was quick to judge him, he obviously knows were we are lacking and is trying to adress it. Next year it will be his squad though and he will have to still prove himself.

I agree our recruitment up to now has been pretty good, especially as it seems to be in areas which are badly needed and all the signings will add attributes that we dont have, but our recruitment has been so poor in the last couple of seasons we are still way way off being serious throphy challengers again, a few years in my opinion.

As for Tansey in general, I dont think he is good enough to play in the halves week in and week out, but the pleasing thing about him is he is footballer, he has flair, something that the squad is seriously lacking.

I think recent signings are very positive and on paper should perhaps should place us back towards our standing in 2007. I think with the addition of a international standard centre and prop we could be genuine contenders.

Depends, Ive seen him put a couple of bombs up before and a few kicks down field, based on that im guessing he could lump a football up the field no problem, so he qualifies as a city player at least.
