The way the Martin signing has been explained to me in the last couple of days has me thinking we may have missed out on a few decent player .

They do not count on any cap and the RFL are paying there wages, there like free players.

There's a rumour going around that the former Crusaders players contracts are being funded centrally by the RFL. However it's only one per club I've heard

Martin is a good centre whose availability record negates the fact he is a 'senior'. He probably wasn't our first choice right centre option, but I look forward to a West Park humble pie picnic around mid June.

I will willingly have a big slice if he turns up trumps.Although I have a feeling he will be a good asset for us,despite or because of his age.

Like i said before , Martin is a solid player and always looks dangerous with ball in hand and certainly looks far from past it, That humble pie better be a big one

It would certainly be sweet if he proved the P taking supporters from other clubs wrong.

I have seen martin play a few times as most have this season live and on TV and cant understand the negativity about him, he is certainly gifted with ball in hand, clearly hard as nails and a good pace to him too so dont understand, maybe he has only a couple of good seasons left in him but i for one think he will be a very decent signing for FC and free of charge too which helps, and if its correct getting his wedge paid centrally its a win win for us

He didn't get 'busted' on anything. A few people voiced suspicions and it went from there.

Former Crusaders players who had contracts into next season have been covered by the RFL at there new clubs. The players are not counted on either the cap or quota but only for as a long as the original Crusaders contract. I have no idea if the scheme is limited to only one player or not, but we where very slow off the mark in signing anyone.

Martin is not costing FC much if anything and I really think he could well turn out to be a good signing.

Not to the levels it got to with one or two posters, no.
Everybody (just about) saw through him and pulled him up about it, others just basically used any excuse to have a go.
Strangely enough, the main protagonist doesn't seem to post much since ICM/EXPRO stopped.
