According to the ultra reliable wikipedia, Richard Swain was the 1st to go past the magic 1000 tackles in a season mark in the NRL. It also says he topped the 2004 super league charts with 907. So I am guessing that was his top effort. |

When Fitz was here he mentioned that it is their tactic to hold the defender up and Houghton to finish it by taking the legs. He does a lot of work in this area, not always first man in |

He does a lot of work and credit goes to him for the amount of tackles he does. However I think we need to play Azza more because of his skill and creativity. It's usually Houghton playing 60 mins and Azza playing 20. I think we look a lot better when Azza is on in attack personally.
