It will be a concern if we don't bring someone in this year as cover at least, imo Hull will be better off throwing some cash at a club to get a quality HB this year and getting ahead of the field because i just can't see us competing for a HB signing with the likes of wire and saints potentially looking for new HB's next year, Agar and co would have to really sell the club to appeal more then saints and wire without been held to ransom again.
Briggs has gone to bulls so only leaves Moore which i wouldn't be against as i'd guess he'd be in the starting line up from the 1st week unless the Chase rumours have any substance to them.

Eastmond will go to union, rumour has it this is Pryce's last season there and Briers is calling it a day after 2011 i think.

IMO Rangi chase wouldn't be a medium signing. under the circumstances it would be huge!! which is why i can't see it happening. besides even 3 months ago i couldn't see castleford releasing/selling arguably their two best players

Hope you manage to find a decent half - when a few clubs are chasing a championship player it shows there is certainly not many available.

hull say there are very few half backs available to sign.in the last few months,finch,holdsworth,herbert,briggs,rovelli,witt,sammut and green have all been signed by rival clubs.bradford have signed 2 halfbacks since they lost orford back to aussie.nearly all these players mentioned where rumoured to be coming to hull at one time or another.

The club are still intent and 1/2 more signings, lets wait and see.

sorry ,made a mistake with rovelli he signed for an aussie club.but going further back we missed out on dobson,monaghan,orford and where did cas get chase from.were do we go wrong.

There alot of instances where we could have improved on signings, look at you're example of orford.

people complain about us signing ''old'' players,and then orford gets mentioned!!! i still think there will be 2 new signings coming in,with one being an aussie.

So Westerman is not a exciting signing?.I know we need half back cover but i feel Hull are doing the right thing playing the waiting game for the right player to come along.No point signing dross just to make up the numbers.I know it's frustrating for all of us with the lack of news but i feel we will get that quailty player we are lacking at the moment sooner rather than later.As they say just watch this space.

The longer this goes on the less likely Hull are to get and real quality as that calibre of player is already tied up and its hard to see Kath spending more money on transfer fees despite all the talk on here that 'we can afford it'.

It was said by some on here months ago that the players just weren't available for 2011 and that we'd probably be aiming for a good 2012 and just see how 2011 goes. I think looking at the squad on paper it's evident that we've focussed on 2012.
