| Result that was probably expected, but it still doesn’t make it easy to take. A big reality check for the lads and particularly the young ones. Which in hindsight might not be a bad thing, keeps them grounded and shows they’ve got hard work to put in to reach the top.
Almost feel sorry watching griffin chasing shadows for 80 minutes, sadly the injury has ruined him, genuinely think he’s done at this level at both centre or 2nd row.
Huge game against Cas which imo will define our season. We should have a few back however losing tag and Satae tonight is far from ideal

| Quote ="Irregular Hoops"Even though the club are now playing the long game, conceding 150 points in three games is not a good look, whatever the circumstances.
It’s the floating supporters we need to attract, not the diehards. 60 point defeats don’t help us in that. Seems to be a malaise in supporters attitudes as we repeat another slide into the end of a season.
Even the third best team in Super League can’t beat Saints with a man advantage for 60 minutes. Hard to get enthused about the game at the moment.'"
I’ve said it before, Huddersfield are so yawningly boring, process process win nowt, another excellent Australian Luke Yates, galvanises them. Whilst Welsby has the magical abilities of a modern day Ben Barba, there something in this performance par excellence, what who knows, desire, ability, something in the coffee.

| "I don't think there's any major issues we need to highlight" says Hodgson. Surely conceding 60 points twice in the last 3 games is a major issue that needs highlighting...injuries or no injuries. Even Toulouse haven't conceded 60 in a single game

| With a nights remove from the result I'm struggling to get too worked up over the result.
It easy to forget that earlier in the season with pretty much a full side to pick from we nearly beat Wigan and then did actually beat them.
Last night we had half the squad in the stands, the ones left are mostly young kids, recent acquisitions and players in their twilight years. Add to that losing our best non-kid/old man player early on coupled with Wigan being in red hot form currently.
Yes, 60-0 isn't a good look but its understandable in the context and not nearly as bad as the Leeds game imo.
It gets a massive a shrug from me and I'll move onto the Cas game which we have a realistic chance of winning.

Completely agree with this. The biggest negative from last night was the loss of Satae - any slim chance of a play off place goes with him. Any update?

| Some awful defence particularly the Geiffin, Longstaff and Simms side. Should be Griffins last game at centre.
Mau, Evans, Sao, Wynne and hopefully Connor back next week for a must win game.
Although as others have mentioned, I'm not sure a play off game is a good idea.

No because he was terrible against Leeds, and if we'd of had other options the rest would of been dropped by now, have you some weird infatuation with Shaul, its cringe, posters on the wall, same hair style and all that?

| Quote ="Chris71"I know it’s only highlights but Houghton just didn’t look interested and the 2nd try no attempt made to stop Field at all. Depleted or not there was some poor effort from the same section of players that should be leading by example it just not looking interested. Griffin for me looks shot in terms of confidence since his injury and wonder if Cators reoccurrence and Carlos suffering same injury has affected him too. Gale for me not showing much in terms of leadership when things aren’t going well. Depleted we maybe but no excuse for some of the effort or lack of.'"
Houghton also is very much going through the motions. Indefensible now sticking up for them, Hodgsons touched on his frustrations wit the lack of senior leadership so I thoroughly expect we l see the ones we've named go the same way as the previous players we've named and have been moved on. No hiding in professional sport, some of us just see who's slacking quicker than others, but more common sense

| Hard as we've so many injured but you cannot account for lack of effort by some.
Kind of expect it off certain players now so my only gripe which I've not seen mentioned and I scratch my head at is this.
“We had some players that are new to their positions. Charlie Severs had to come on at centre. The young boys that had to come into our club from last week, we haven’t got a lot of work into them in turns of our system so it was very disjointed. It’s a tough one.”
Anybody spot the problem, that isn't players playing out of position?

Hodgson said he rolled his ankle in the same tackle that sent him for the HIA. Hopeful he'll be fine for Friday.

Gotta disagree there.
Mitchell, Trebojovic and Tedesco are all pure class and that's just fullbacks covered. Cleary is brilliant, but if he isn't feeling it , they can have DCE and Reynolds as replacement, Munster as you have said is pure class as is Matt Burton and Cody Walker, Jerome Luaiai (spelling), their hookers could be any of Grant, Cook or even Ben Young . wingers Ado Carr, Cobbo, Tupou (if he chooses them over Tonga, or any number of options, . Then there is the rest their pack, at least, 5 picks in every position better than the best we have. If they turn up wanting to win, we do well to keep them below 60 in my opinion.
We see our management talking players such as Ryan Hall, who didn't score during his time with the Roosters, Sam Tomlins and Johnny Lomax and, as good as they are/have been in SL, they'd struggle to get in any of the 2nd tier nations' squad. I hope I am wrong , but I don't even have us a 3rd favourite, given the names Tonga and even Samoa can call on, never mind NZ and the Aussies.
I'd go as far as to say this World cup could be the final nail in the coffin for Northern Hemisphere International RL.

After being cared for by the Wigan medical team, and his treatment included ear whispering, Big Chris was seen running home to Hull, with a cherry & white contract in his pocket,

I'd say there is more depth in the NRL than a few years ago, maybe not the stars like Slater etc, but the standard on the club sides is very high. They could easily put out 4 sides that would beat GB.

Tedesco is the best full back out of them 3 and is a great player but better than slater ? No chance
Cherry Evans couldn't even get in as water boy when Thurston and cronk played
Again hooker none are better than Cameron smith your clutching at straws big time with these suggestions
Tonga again are weaker than 2017 no jennings, fifita past it
Samoa will be good and should do better than 2017 as they was awful at last world cup
Fiji will be better than both Tonga and Samoa

So why do they send full strength team, arrive nearly a week before and celebrate like they've won gold .....?
If they genuinely didn't care they would send a load of fringe/academy players across but no one ever has !
The pre season nonsense ours are only 2 weeks in hardly running at full tilt by then
We hear it every week the "weakest team in nrl would best Saints or Wigan by 50" but when their best only win by 10 all the excuses come out in their droves

100% he won't reply to this, they don't take it that seriously.
Look at the best players in SL, French, Field, they were fringe players at best before they came.
The best prop in SL goes to the NRL and fails to make a impact. There are exceptions to the rules, but if you name the best English players in any position, there will be 10 plus NRL players better than them.
