Breach of club discipline wasn't it?
Off-field reputation and age would rule him out for me, considering what a big money signing he'd almost certainly be.

With a slight change of style (both him and team tactics) and an extra stone at least, I agree. I've always thought he could have been an excellent replacement for Chester.

His distribution is incredibly slow. I said for most of last year that Berro was 3rd behind Lee and Houghton. I've seen nothing to change my mind this year. Berro's distribution is poor.

Think he played all of pre-season there and then an injury in the first game meant he moved back to centre. Not really a fair crack at the position though.

Slow as a hooker, quick plays, quick distribution. Do you get it? Do you watch RL?

For me, apart from the odd glimpse of quality over the last three seasons, he has fallen way short of "marquee quality" and we could spend his salary and quota spot in a much better way.
O'Meley and Fitz have shown us exactly what marquee signings give you and both have had an immediate and massive effect on our club. Berrigan, for whatever reason, has not and we could spend half of his salary on a decent British hooker who would give us just as much, if not more, and still have a spare quota spot.'"

I don't get you
He's actually not slow, he tends to come away from dummy half slow as he is lookig for holes and runners, Houghton is more of a darter and gets out of dummy half really quick. His distribution is poor at times.

Yup, to add to that Houghtons distribution has become really sharp this season. Berro is just too laboured.

Probably I am in the minority, but I don't care. I'll say what I think. Berro is a slow hooker, slow to do anything from that position, and has done very little for us. You want to look at the name and call him superstar then that's upto you. I think he has been a waste of space. (quota)
That will now be construed as me saying he is gash, which I am not. Just don't think the lofty rep has been justified, and to me at times, has not even looked interested. Poor signing IMO, when all things are considered.

| Houghtons dummy half bullet pass to Long for our 3rd try agaist Hudds was out of the top drawer. His distributuion is really improving.

I would give it a try. Berro has a good kicking game and decent passing game with a history of playing in the halves. I think Tansey has been so dangerous out wide as third receiver that it would be a shame to disrupt that part of our game because it has created plenty of tries.
If Houghton needs spelling maybe Washy could have a run at hooker.

| After playing 2nd row last night, what positions hasn't Berrigan played for us!?
I would like to see Berrigan in the halves next week, anything other than Horne/Washbrook, which we've tried loads of times before and it doesn't work.

Spot on, unfortunately it seems we're stuck with him for another year.
On the positive side, I may get another opportunity to see him in Jackson's at 4am balancing Fray Bentos pies on his head

He played 13 for us last night like he has for Oz and state of origin etc. He came on for 1 of the props and Radford then moved to prop from 13.

Thought he was only capped as a Centre? And a brief appearance at 9.
I know he covered 3/4, 6 and 9 at Origin but never knew he'd played 13.
