Standout moments were Ellis' two hits. The one on Gardner was superb and not sure who it was who he cut in half early on. Dont know who sliced hodgson down under our sticks but that was a beast and Sa cleaning out keating. But the most amusing of all was Burns' surrender on his own 10m line windy get.

Thought Lineham outpacing Caro was the highlight of the night for me,didn't realize he was that fast.

Felt we played the conditions really well. The ball was like a bar of soap and we targeted it in the tackle forcing lots of errors. Our defence was tremendous and Watts and Ellis really fronted up! Special mention to Talanoa who seen to run the ball out at least twice every set

unless there was another one that I didn't notice, I think it was Green who nailed Keating, and to be honest it looked like a shoulder charge.
Thought Green was brilliant tonight. His hits were immense.

the Binman has become one of my favourite players this year. He's not an amazing players and doesn't do the acrobatic winger stuff like Makinson but I like his willingness to work. He is a real handful and often gets a quick play the ball. You also think he's about to be dragged down in the tackle then somehow wriggles free and sets off running again!

It was a shoulder charge and we got pinged for it earlier in 1st half!most stupid rule going IMO......mind you!Bowden got in a few beauty's as we'll and the Larryor had his usual run over off Feka

Could tell Feka was well and truly up for it. Looked great on his 10 minutes and big shame he picked up a knock.

looked like Keating tried to run inside Green and instead of turning he just clouted him with the shoulder, definite shoulder charge.

Was sheer quality and the chant of only 1 Billy Slater even better

Stupid Rule and who cares

Caro was gaining on Lineham. Lineham arced his run away from Caro causing him to collide with the other chasing defender.

rovers were rubbish, but mainly down to being out enthused from the first minute. costigan is a pudding and keating is garbage. Similar performance to the cas and saints ones for me but against poorer opposition. Scoreline flattered rovers and we looked capable of scoring every time we got near their line. Luckily for them we dropped the ball at least 3 times on the first tackle on their 20 metre line.

I've been a critic of the bin man previously but thought he was excellent tonight as were all of the forwards. Massive effort from them tonight especially as we had one less forward on the bench than rovers and lost one of them after only a short stint on the field,

Lots of big hits (Even though some were shoulder charges, but both sides did them) and best of all nilling the dobbins..

May have won the series again this year but at least we can say in super league era we've nilled them.

Could have scored a lot more points, we seemed to drop the ball on the first couple of drives for a spell in the 2nd half, but credit to the defence tonight, Ellis is a workhorse, must be good to have blokes like him around, real pleased for Horney to get one over the enemy on his last derby, well done boys from 1-17. Caro couldn't catch my gran on the way to Mecca bingo!

Your defence was excellent all night, big games from Watts, Green and Ellis.

Horne took the ball to the line really well at times, Houghton always seems to play well against us and did again.

We were lucky to get no points, we deserved minus.

Bit of both, You wanted it and had a lot of enthusiasm in defence and played the conditions and refereeing better, we played probably as bad as I've seen all year and it's been bad at times, looked like a lot of players know they're on their way out.
Score line completely flattered us and I was happy to get away without being truly embarrassed. If you had a cutting edge it could have been 70+

Definitely a bit of both. Our defence was relentless, a thoroughly deserved nil. Score sort of flattered them, but then again didn't because we still lack skill in opening a defence. Only our first try was artfully engineered, the main theme was just battering our way through plus a foot race from their error. Still, we bossed the game so it matters little.

Only thing that annoyed me tonight was a guy behind me. At the end of the game he said 'that makes the season for me, I don't mind about the rest now.' Complete garbage IMO, if anything it showed just how bad the rest of the season has been, as it shows that we could and should have been a lot better more often.

completely agree, don't get me wrong I am pleased by the unexpected result...but it doesn't wipe away the memories of having to sit through that dire 7-0 defeat to Widnes, chucking away leads against Wakefield and Cas, being hammered by Wigan Reserves etc the team need to perform with that level of commitment and desire every game, not when they feel like it.
