The club's done really well off the field for a number of years despite not having a top 4 team to promote. It's not out of the question that Rule will go but it would be the most surprising move of all IMO unless Pearson leaves his job at City. Then cost cutting comes into the equation with Pearson doing Rule's job.

Silly. He did that at about 1 o'clock this afternoon.

With all of the changes he is making, does that mean if he leaves Rule alone people might consider the fact that he may actually be good at his job?

I think its hard to judge his role as an outsider looking in.

You could credit him with keeping Hull profitable and commercially successful during a downturn in playing fortunes and the economic downturn hitting incomes and sponsorships....however a cynic would argue that he had an influence in the choice of coach and our playing fortunes, and the commercial success of the club was due to the fans loyalty.

I personally feel he does a good job for the club.

I suppose I'm a cynic, but with Kath and the previous board I don't see how he had that much influence anyway. The money would have talked and the "non-money" wouldn't.

Of course I may be wrong, but I wouldn't want my employees telling me how to spend my investment, unless they were clearly more knowledgeable, but we all know about Kath's RL knowledge.....

I do too. I think he needs to spin less and show a bit more humility but commercially he runs a tight ship.

Why I think he has been doing a good job and we need someone with his knowledge of the club to help take this all forward. Its well known that I blotched my copy book with James, my fault and I am sorry for that but credit where its due.

He has worked hard for our club and he will continue to do so I hope.

Rule does a good job for Hull as far as I can see, I hope he stays.

Something I havent asked nor do I expec to happen. I would be very very shocked. Think Rule has brought a lot to this club and still has a lot to give. I know a few people will diasagree but from Pearson's perspective he will be regarded very highly having all the links and so much background. Rule is a gem to the club! Think it would be a very bad idea to let him go.

He didn't seem his usual self at at POTY last night. Normally he's all smiles, working the room and shaking hands but he seemed a bit quiet. He was on the same table as AP but there was not a lot of interaction between them.

I wouldn't be surprised if AP got rid, but it would be a mistake IMO.
