Balmforth just shown nice touches at start of 2nd half and put Staveley in for a simple try.

Balmforth showing up well as he creates a try for himself with some quick play.

I thought that Staveley and Balmforth were Newcastle's best tonight. Staveley looks Super League ready to me. Balmforth maybe needs a little more work from a physical point of view because Super League sides would make him work defensively but he is really really talented. He'll explode into the stage when he's ready.

Would agree with that as I thought Balmforth made the difference when he came on. He seems very Dwyer like in terms of speed that he plays but has more control to his game in distribution and passing. Staveley certainly looking the part and progressing

Looked to me he was playing 2nd row on the right hand side.

If he is staying I'd be looking at giving Balmforth a few games, he could do the 20/30 minutes Dywer does.

Think like Taylor, Staverley will start in the 2nd row and end us as a prop.

Would also bring in Balmforth soon.

To be honest if Balmforth is staying at Hull for next season I'd like to see us bring him back in to the first team set up and start giving him game time instead of Dwyer, who for me was terrible on Saturday and that's not even taking that kick to touch he missed by some way in to account.

Balmforth is such a confusing situation. He constantly appears too good for every level he plays at but the rumours are TS doesn’t rate him.

I agree he should be playing over Dwyer right now. I’d also give Stavely a run out over lane. The experience with do their development wonders

Smith not overly keen on Balmforth i've been told a few times. Be surprised if he is here next season.

I do know coaching staff at both Hull clubs and like you it is my understanding Balmforth will not be on Hull Fc's books in 2024. Shame really because i do think he will become a good SL player given time.
