And then, once in, you would have to fill from the front, each seat 1m apart (minimum), what happens when the guy in the middle needs to go to the toilet, does the whole row move out from the end. Say 4 days after a game 1 person tests positive for Covid, do 8,000 people then self isolate for 14 days?

Oh dear, when have I said I’m bulletproof to covid. Of course I’ll call NHS if I need it, I’ve paid taxes my whole adult life to use it. It’s all about risk factor, and at this moment in time, I think the risk is pretty low, as long as people follow rules and are sensible, things need to get turning again, including people at sporting events, even its a low number of fans, waiting for a vaccine or until it just disappears! His economical suicide, may as well just fold the club now. To answer your question. One person test positive, that person and whoever he was with isolate, the chances of that person passing it to anyone outside is group within the stadium will be very low risk, you could notify people in the block that person was sat in to get tested, you could easily manage per block

Covid is serious life and death scary stuff, But carrying on like the last 4 months, no thank you, like I’ve said this disease is going no where, so we all need to make a personal choice of what risks to take, and a lot of people are obviously not in as wealthy position as you to do nothing

The economy does need to move, that does not mean thousands of people congregating for a sport, especially when it can be watched on TV. Do you not think Liverpool would have found a way to put 18,000 in the stadium when they lifted the PL trophy?

I doubt we'll see 5,000 at the KCOM this year, never mind 8,000. In fact I don't think fans will be back this season.

Best we can hope is that a few hundred are allowed back at the start of 2021.

realistically we could open two stands, 1500 in each, who decides which pass holders etc.

Personal view on how safe it may be aside, I just can't work out the logistics or economics.

If cinemas can open “safely” within a closed environment, I don’t see how we can’t get some fans in the stadium, even if it’s 50 fans per block. I do fear you could be right though, not knowing the ins and outs of the kc agreement for hull fc, it could be challenging from that point. Probably more chance of getting in at an away game, open terraces at certain grounds surely doable

the probem, again, at open grounds is the distancing thing. Take Cas as an example, very crowded toilets, no physical barriers so you need more stewards, cash at turnstiles, a blumin nightmare logistically.

(and I am not being a spoilsport, I want to be back at games as much as anyone) but look at the rules in other venues. Very difficult times.

The bottom line is that there is no point opening grounds to fans only to make a loss.
We are in the hands of the SMC when it comes to implementing the measures that are needed (legally) to allow safe access.
I'd be surprised if Mr Allam offers us a good deal, we're already a financial burden according to their accounts.

Hopefully a streaming service will provide some much needed income until the end of the season.
