I doubt it. You beat the team above us last time you played at home and have already beaten us on your patch this season. Rovers strong favourites imo and it could be a long night for Hull fans

100%. Plus
AP is bricking it about the Derby income loss so we'll be under orders to chuck it.
Smith is a top coach
Toughest turnaround in the competition for us, 5 days following a trip to France.
Talisman Kelly injured
Rovers have Garbutt and McGuire back - at full strength in fact, and Parcell arriving this week in a stunning timely boost.
Rovers absolutely desparate to get off the bottom, whereas we are sat on a four point cushion.
If we could keep it to a reverse of the Good Friday score that would be decent night's work.

| Even Rovers diehards like me have to admit that Hull FC were brilliant tonight I really do think so.
It wasn't that Catalans went into the game half hearted they were giving it a good go and only after they had been outplayed and beaten did the energy levels drop. The Kelly/Connor/ Naulago combo was almost unplayable and it's not like the other edge wasn't half bad either.
Maybe with 3rd place tied up you can take a breather? Hey I'm not saying you will have a walk in the park next week Rovers have been extremely gutsy in the previous home games under Tony Smith but there's no denying that if it comes down to quality you have the edge.
Things can change a lot in a short time as you know better than anybody but at this snapshot in time Hull FC are the form team in Super League.

Fair post, but the point around 3rd place tied up is obviously complete and utter garbage. Several disadvantages coming up for us. Tight turnaround to the derby, which I think you will win for all the reasons already cited. We still need to play Saints twice. And we are disadvantaged vs all the chasing pack as we have a cup semi final as a distraction. I'd imagine that 24 points is enough to avoid the drop, which is obviously all teams' first and most basic ambition, but so many twists and turns yet to come from teams all desperate to make the 5 or avoid relegation.

I think there will be a few more twists and turns in the relegation battle, but as a black and white it’s good to see KR and Leeds battling for the wooden spoon.

| Great all round team performance but a guy that has really taken some stick from some quarters since he signed for us, Josh Griffin I thought was immense today. Strength, speed and power and highlight was steaming through Tomkins on his way for a try.
What is very noticeable is the amount of tries we are able to score from distance.
Thought Buchanan looked good too and supported the play well and got a deserved.
Think Carlos even fit may have to wait a while to get back in.
We look so much more of a threat when we pick up the pace with quick ptb’s.
Full credit to all involved today

Whilst I don't agree that Rovers will be favourites for the derby (and I don't believe that you really think that anyway) you are right that there is still a lot of work to be done yet. We are nicely positioned right now, but with a cup semi (and hopefully a final) to think about, we need to be building up a good buffer because things can change quickly. We are in good form and a lot of teams below us are struggling, so we have to make hay whilst the sun shines. Next week is another very important game.
Also, whilst 5th is obviously where you need to be for a playoff spot, 3rd really needs to be the target now that we have got ourselves in this position. There is a big difference between 3rd and 4th/5th in the current system.

| It was great to watch and the lads really put a shift in. lets not get carried away we have not won anything yet but on the other hand, may as well enjoy it while it lasts.
We suffer enough at other times.

| I've given you credit and it's due fair play.
Rovers will throw the kitchen sink at you and we are not as bad as you think, you will not get an easy ride I'm sure of that. You have better quality we have the greater incentive.
It's going to be a great occasion if you show the quality like you did today all our effort may well be in vain but let's see how things develop if things aren't going your way.

| Short turnaround after a visit to France and a gruelling game played in strength sapping heat against one of the most physical sides in the comp will be a great leveller. If it were rovers coming back from that game in France and playing us at the kc after we had 2 days extra rest then I reckon wed put 40+ on them but have a sneaky feeling they'll win this one, possibly quite comfortably

| Well i Put my money where said mouth is and backed Hull minus 11 points at 3/1
What a beauty of a performance
I was off my sofa 3-4 times
Unreal
I said before the game we had so many reasons to win this and winning makes us all feel so much better about the next games
Form and confidence counts for so much
That’s why playing Rovers should be a touch easier for us
We are in form and confidence and they’re not
I give credit to the the coaching set up and thre players
I believe it’s now the ice freezer for the team

| Silky skills from all our backs, outstanding work from Mickey P Westy Sav Josh Bowden Houghton. Josh Griffin absolutely unplayable.
Can’t we swap Ratus passport and send someone else to the Army, he’s made the wing position his own, the rest have to fight it out.
Fabulous travelling support from Hull on our second visit, Greeny and Mickey P will be very unlucky if they are not retained.

| Jamie Shaul - would really expect him to be running amok in games like this and other big wins
He’s there for his attacking prowess
Then I watched the game again and at 12.13 into the game Jamie runs the ball out of Defence
If you’ve recorded it go to 12.12
Look at his body language as he sees the 3 big defenders
Am I reading too much into it ?
Concussions can scare the absolute shiot out of anyone and he’s had 2 bad ones very recently
I may have it wrong ?

Jamie was in fine form pre concussions, and since his return has improved steadily in each game, but they are only human, and as with all players who suffer injuries and illness due to our sport, it’s a credit to their durability and toughness that they come back for more, he will be reet

| Just rewatched the game.
Kelly was absolutely class for our first two tries.
Savelio strong as a bull for the next.
Griffin showing real pace for the next two. Soft hands from Sneydy, again, and Buchanans debut SL try.
Ratu beating two defenders behind his own goal line before putting the after-burners on was rather exquisite.
Griff just too big amd strong for his second. Kassiano couldn't handle him then dumps another on his posterior.
Shaully doing what he does best for the finale and icing on the proverbial cake.
Marc lethal with his boot slotting betweens the H's.
It's a pretty good feeling when everything clicks like yesterday.
Credit where it's due.
