That picture is embarrassing its that pixelated you cant make out anything on the video (3.49 min) you can clearly see that ellis shoulder makes contact with the back of robinsons head and its a sending off.

im not a huddersfield fan and i didn't get to see the incident on the highlights, but if a shoulder has made contact with the head then the same applies, but a shoulder charge isn't a ban its just a penalty as long as it isn't high

At full speed it looks to me like ellis' chest hits robinson on the back/shoulder. His head hits the floor which is what probably knocked him out. robinson actually looks like he's leaning forward and his head is nowhere near ellis. He'll still cop a ban, no doubt

as I've said on our forum, I don't think there was any intent or maliciousness from ellis, It looked worse from the stand.
after seeing the replay it was dangerous and possibly wreckless but no intent to harm,a big man going in fast and hard on a little guy is almost always going to cause problems.
I think a penalty at the time and a word about his tackling technique would have sufficed, I think a ban would be harsh on him.

as for the crabtree on miller, again, I can only go by what I saw from the stand, and that was that Eorl went to shut him down and mistimed it, I didn't see a shoulder charge from where I was behind the posts, if ,as you guys say, it was a shoulder charge then the officials have either missed it or chosen to ignore it, im sure the disciplinary panel would have picked up on it too.

I saw the incident live and I have seen the YT footage. You cannot clearly see Ellis'shoulder hit anything. You see Robinson cleaned out. Of anything hits robin sons head, it Ellis' chest.

But interestingly The ref did not penalise it, or the linesman or the disciplinary review panel as being foul play .

Yet in the same game Ellis gets a Grade B charge for one piece of foul play and a Caution for a second piece of foul play in the same game.

I thought Eorl just ran over Miller as he closed him down on the last tackle....knocking him over due to size difference , cant recall any howls of derision in the stands or players or even coaches making a fuss about it either, but hey, you lot insisted Ellis was innocent so Eorl must be guilty of a shoulder charge right ?....shame the RFL and the disciplinary commitee aren't as one-eyed as you lot in defeat.

Wasn't a massive offence. He just put his shoulder in with no attempt to grab. The very definition of a shoulder charge. Miller in the event drops ball n it's a knock on.!!!!!!!!!!! Can't remember score at that time but it was tight and we were on your line.
The Ellis incident is a joke. Only the end result has made it a big deal. It's r l, players take big shots, sometimes they get up sometimes not. There's a shot like that in most games, most times the player gets back up n all's well.
The thing that winds me up is the people deciding on the 'offence' you can bet will have never played the game ever!!

Nothing wrong with the hit and will be a complete joke if he cops a ban. Ellis is square on and goes to wrap his arms around the player. If were now going to penalise and ban for any contact from a players torso we might as well just make it touch rugby and have done with it. Pathetic.

I said the same about ellis' challenge, I thought they both looked worse than they were if im honest,im not on the side of anyone I am just telling it how I saw it.

If Eorl did commit an illegal dangerous tackle then i hope, as i would with any of our players, that he gets pulled for it and appropriate action taken against him.

To be fair i can understand the frustrations of Hull fans as we have had 2 men sent off for similiar incidents because the opposition player was injured (not necessarily the challenge) so us Giants fans know how you feel. In the end though you actually benefitted from it by having the opportunity to play on and score from the incident.

Wasn't similar really as such. Eorl had ran to pressure kicker, wasn't gonna get there, turned shoulder into him. Not a chargeable/banning offence either in my opinion but a more clear cut pen as dictated by the rulebook. As it happens it resulted in a knock on being called. Poor refereeing

Couldn`t see much in the Ellis tackle apart from a penalty for head contact.
Every match we watch, shoulder contact of some kind goes on if we go out to look for them, as long as it does not contact the head, it should be ok.
The game is going soft.
