A more interesting suggestion, and one that would gain Hull FC widespread respect throughout the sporting world, would be to offer a replay at the KC with all gate receipts going to charity. The publicity this would receive for Hull FC and the game in general would be massive. Exiles weekend perhaps?'"
Why dont you say what else was said...Andy Wilson was virtually laughing at the suggestion and said where do you stop.Just get over the fact that your team cant play for 80mins and was hanging on at the end.Studd also said that if Eden had caught the ball,we wouldnt be having this discussion...Stevo then said yeah but he didnt get 4 chances too like ganson did,Studd replied "he still wouldnt have caught it"

I wonder if your coaching staff and players have moved on and are focused on Bradford and aren't still banging on about the derby like the fans are.

I've just seen that picture. He needs to give up the rugby and become an olympic sprinter if he covered that distance from a standing start from an on-side position.

I thought at the time Hall had to be offside, he was stood in our attacking line as soon as the ball had been played.

Had a good look at the footage again last night. Hall is at least a metre offside when the ball is played (easy to spot as he should have been behind his try line) and the pass for Brown's try is clearly forward.
So we win either way.

The irony being, if McDonnell hadn't tackled Hall and he scored on that play, then no doubt it would have been referred 'upstairs' and itt would've been chalked off by the video ref, (probably )

Saying that, I'm watching last night's Boots N All, and they're discussing Gaskell's interception try against Widnes.
Jon Sharp has basically said,
=#FF0000[i"We haven't refered interceptions to the video referee since 2006, when the referees went full time. If there is a player offside from an interception, it doesn't go to the VR, unless the touch judge intervenes."[/i.
Bomber chipped in and said he thinks every interception should go to the VR, so if that was the case, Hall's try would've obviously been disallowed, as would Gaskell's.
Begs the question, why didn't the touch judges spot either of them?

Not going by what Jon Sharp said on Boots 'n all this week.
Some sort of agreement amongst refs (here and in Oz) that interception tries will NOT be referred to the Video Ref.

Touch judges need a big kick up the 'arris and start taking some responsibility and getting involved in the game.
Too much is left to the refereee for me whilst touch judges do next to nowt.

Not to be pedantic but it wouldn't have been disallowed.
Hall was tackled before Eden went to score and the VR wouldn't have been able to look at the interception
I agree he is offside for the interception and that the touch judge should have intervened. Whether or not Ben Thaler would have gone to the VR had Hall gone all the way is also debatable

Touch judges get involved as far as the referee instructs them. They're told by the referee, before the game, just how involved they want them to be. Blame the refs, not the TJs

So a TJ spots something and doesn't report it because a ref has told them to stay out of a game?
Quite possibly one of the most bizarre claims I think I've ever heard regarding RL.
I agree with the orginal poster. We are bashing the standards of reffing, but the touch judges need to get far better as well in my opinion. Some of them seem to be soley about policing if somebodys foot is in touch or not.

Pity Thaler didn't tell Child to keep his trap shut when Child came up with the alleged accidental offside before Yeamo' try. Thaler had already given a turnover.
