there are a fair few players who have been granted testemonials in the same circumstances, stanley gene, keith senior, rob purdham to name a few. imo, anybody who plays this sport for 10 years deserves it, it's their popularity which willl determine how much they make from it.

in the case of radders, can't knock him for donating some of the proceeds to charity, well done.

I didn't realise it was the Radford jumps ship testimonial? Aren't the RFL rewarding him with a testimonial because he's made more than 300 appearances in their leagues? Seems a simple concept, really.

It is a simple concept, it's just not one I agree with.

The RFL have awarded him a testimonial for services to the game, not services to Hull only. Think most people understand why he signed for Bradford at that time - it was to ensure he had a job, not further his career and maximise his salary. Who knows what would have happened had Hull remained solvent?

Would you not agree with Clive Sullivan being granted a testimonial, for example?

I'm not sure about it myself, but it seems like people are just using the concept to 'Radford bash" it's hardly his fault.
It should be recognised though, IMO, it's an excellent achievement, I can't think of any other way to do it.

yes i have said negative things about a player and if i saw them in the bar after the match i would say it to them the difference is some of the things said about radford have just been nasty and disrespectful not just as you say an opinion

I would not agree with any player being granted a testimonial who didn't have ten years' consecutive service at one club.

Maybe just the fact that they've been well paid by each of their clubs throughout their careers ought to be sufficient?

100% right because that is what a testimonial is.

I haven't seen anything 'nasty' at all. I've seen plenty of negative comments about his playing ability, but nothing attacking him personally.
