Sooner keep Whiting at centre....dont rate Turner 1 bit and his defence is worse than Whitings,who is just struggling atm.

As for Sharp.....he has to take some of the blame as well...its not all Whitings fault with him and Lynne is no-where ready yet.

If the Gleeson thing comes off Whiting could be permanently relegated to the bench....or go full back and put Phelps on the wing, that would please the OP!

I'd rather see Whiting moved to 13 with Fitz used as an out an out prop. Won't happen though.

Turner has done okay when he's played this season and deserves a shot imo as Whiting has not been in good form.

Turner was very good at 6 earlier in the season imo. Looked a real thread with ball in hand.

I'm not sure TBH - before we signed Westerman that would have been my thoughts exactly, but I'd rather Fitz at prop, Westerman at 13 leaving Whiting the bench or FB. Personally I'm a big Whiting fan and think Phelps and/or Sharp have been weaker than him up to now so if someone must make way it should be one of them.

I've got no preference between them mate to be honest. I just want to see a ball playing 13.

Got the potential to be great IMO.

No but stats don't show where the errors are made etc. But I'm a fan of Sharp and he, like others I can name, gets hung out to dry by certain people for his mistakes when others don't. Such is life as a Hull FC winger not called Briscoe.

He's a good player and I like him, Whiting is a safer pair of hands in terms of dealing with kicks but Sharp is an alround better winger.

what many forget to mention is the great stuff he does, like his drives out of his own half when he almost always leaves at least one on the ground behind him,He is by far the fastest PTB in the squad which causes havoc and he isnt easy to tackle and pure pace to burn with ball in hand ..
struggled when he first got here for a couple of games but really found his feet from warrington onwards IMO

To be fair quite a few have mentioned it this year and last year too. TB should have picked Mark Calderwoods brain regarding positioning when he had the chance.

I've said since he has played for Hull, he is a very hardworking winger, he is quick a good finisher and a good attacking winger, a much better attacking than Calderwood and Hall for the type of game we play (although we seem to be playing a more expensive game these days).

He still make the wrong choices in defence at times, it's up to the club to help him improve on these areas, like they have done with Tom Briscoe.

I am very happy with his signing so far.

Very impressed with his attitude especially when he got dropped.

I think he has been a great signing and will get better, he makes great yards from dummy half out of our own end and is a good finisher and makes plenty of tackle busts.

Yes he does, but some of that (at least) is down to the general inability of the team to either slide in defence or to "uncompress" the defensive line, which often leaves him on his own marking 2 or 3 players. He gets called to hell round us when teams score on his wing but he's stuck in no man's land and can't be blamed for the team or tactical failing.

Yeamo sometimes makes wrong choices in defence that have lead to tries but he doesn't get marked for dropping.

The more Sharpe and Gleeson play together the better our defence will become, on many occasions he stays out wide marking his opposing winger only for the sliding defence not 2 come across and support him.

As ICECREAMMAN stated his play the ball is lighting fast often putting the opposing defence on the back foot, and as he often does this from our own 20, people seem not to notice this, when ever he does get the ball in a little space he l

Makes good yards, and always looks like breaking the opposing defensive line, this time next year we'll have 2 of the best wingers in the competition.

People are too quick to blame the right winger in our side and it is always his fault for any tries that come his way!

But it hasnt just been Sharp. It has been Sharp, Hall, Calderwood, Sing, Blacklock - all have had this accusation levelled at them when in reality its the players on the inside making poor decisions that lead to our winger being exposed.

As the majority of our attack is down the left, players struggle 2 get back into a decent defensive position IMO,

Now Gleeson is here it has improved as we can see over the last 6 games, we are slowly going from been really easy 2 read left only attack 2 been able 2 do the buisness both side...!

I really rate Whiting defensively however he has always lacked that attacking capability..!

Needs to sort out his decision making in defence which should come in time, after that we will have a very good winger in Sharp.

someone said a few days back if Will keeps progressing as they plan we could just could have both the England centre and wing partnerships on board!!

When he does make a mistake he doesn't go into his shell or run and hide but tries to get it right the next time. We should definitely persevere with him. Who better than Gleeson for a young winger to learn from?
