Listen the fact is that the lad had a decent match, he wasnt brilliant but did nothing wrong apart from spill a ball or two which all players do, as for our squad he hasnt progessed enough to warrant keeping him and with all squads there has to be leavers to have arrivals and he unfortunately is the weakest link at present ... i for one hope he proves us wrong and does become a great player as he is in reality a cracking lad who deserves some luck and isnt as bad as many make out but hey we need a scapegoat each year dont we .

I agree he is and never will be a top drawer player imo....however like you mentioned I also hope the kid goes on and does well and earns a good living out of the game. He is a very pleasant lad who has had a lot of opportunities with FC sadly it has just not worked out..

At 24 he has plenty of time to develop into an attacking centre, why would we want another Keith Senior? We already have one centre in similar mould: a fast 2nd row, who doesn't fancy playing in the pack. We have no creative, attacking British centres, they're just used as lightweight battering rams.

Steve Evans was hardly a great defensive centre or off-half, plenty of people called him 'windy' because of that, yet he still knew where the goal line was. After playing us to Wembley in 1985, Bunting dropped him to the bench, so that the slowest off-half in the game (Fred Ah Koi), could "handle" Brett Kenny. Unfortunately even though Fred was as hard as nails, he couldn't get within a fag paper of Kenny.

A "TEAM" should be coached to play to the particular strengths of individual players and to cover their weaknesses. The way Atkins & Hicks opened up our right-side defence last night proves to me that our sum total is too often less than the individual parts.

The game is a lot faster than it was in 1985..Therefore defence is an important attribute every player has to have...Sadly Hally could not tackle a sunday dinner...he may be a try scorer however he lets more in than what he is capable of scoring.

also players are bigger, fitter by a wide mark and would add to that in my opinion he would not have shone even back then , i bet your average sailor has tackled more pros than he has
