Can't argue with that

As most will know, during the recent fans forum Agar made a HUGE play about the amount of injuries the club have had over the last two years and what a massive negative impact that had. I agree with him about this one hundred percent but after watching some of the most one dimensional rugby I think I have ever seen last season and some of the strangest tactical team management he does have to hold his hand up and take some of the responsibility for that. He really needs to up his own game for next season and not just rely on the players he has brought in. I heard a rumour that he didnt like his recently departed assistant taking to the changing room floor and over shadowing him. Lets just hope he is more accommodating to ideas and advice from Mr Moore.
I dont mean to Agar bash as lets hope those days are far behind us. Like most supporters, although last season is still in my memory It doesnt hurt half as much now its all over.

I think Des Hasler will have had a lot to do with appointment.

He's not coming here to be just an assistant. He'll have his eye on the main post. Hope he can teach Agar exactly what a subs bench is for.

This is a great signing. I'm very pleased with this years recruitment and the weeding out of dead-weight.

But did we, I certainly didn't nor did a fair few others, most pointed out that a coach who wasn't good enough for Huddersfield wasn't good enough for Hull.

It might actually be good to have a bit of a "father figure" kicking around the club, one of my biggest concerns about Agar is how much respect he gets from players (get your pom pom's out usual suspects, it's cheerleading time!), someone with a bit more gravitass at the club is a good move for me.

It's come a bit from leftfield this one but it sounds like a very promising and exciting appointment.

Sums it up. Moore sounds like a very good coach, but is, I assume, completely unfamiliar with SL and Hull FC. Agar has a huge capacity for hard work and an excellent (I'd even go so far as to say unrivalled) knowledge of the British game. If we can get the balance of responsibilities right between these 2, this could turn out pretty well.
