Anybody tried this....thinking of doing it now i have time on my hands

Yup, I've done the 12 week course and then carried on to the weekly circuit.
It's an easy course, about eating right and a half hour session of light exercises to follow.
I enjoy it, it's a good laugh with the lads who have carried on after the course.

I started the last one, had to drop out part way through due to work issues, plan on going back though.

tbh its a good session, first half of each session is a bit of theory/education, the 2nd half is exercise. Still apply some of the bits I did learn, and feel better for it.

Oh, no cost IIRC.

Edit: it's held at the KC, and most weeks you get to walk out of the tunnel and do the exercise round the pitch perimeter.
Occasionally they use the car parks and the hill behind East Stand

Fit Fnas is free to access and a great service. There's also other good weight management services available (some group sessions and some one-to-one) at the health centre on Ferensway at the front of St Stephens.

I spoke to Martin this afternoon,Tel 224545, and registered my name . Think you have to fill in a form on Monday,just general health,medication etc. Couple of weeks and should be ready for the first team

Sorry to hijack this thread, but on the same theme I was considering getting an exercise bike or tread mill for home use.
It is for both me and the wife (in 60’s), as we don’t get out of home much.

Not a lot of space at home, so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.
Looking for something light to move about or put away, yet sturdy enough for a 17 stone guy.

Took the plunge so to speak and will be visiting Martin next week so they can take details (Weight etc i presume)

It depends what you want it for. Mine gets used about four times a week by me, and a couple of times by the wife, so it needs to be quite durable. If you want summat to use a couple of times before it becomes an expensive place to hang clothes, you can pick them up for about £100 from Argos.
