| I have said for a while that Yeaman would be better off playing in the right centre position for us. Defensively he is one of the best centres in SL and to put him on the flank that gets attacked the most would make sense. He doesn't offer enough as an attacking centre and therefore putting our most potent attacking centre, which is Crooks, in his favoured positon as a left centre makes complete sense to me.
You could see he had a lot more confidence there in the highlights of the Doncaster game and he has brought that back with him and shot out of the line superbly against London.

| Said the same for years too, the only thing is we seem to attack down our right more often now.
When Sa arrives I wouldn't have him as a starting centre anyhow.

| Crooks seemed to do ok at right centre last year. I'd rather he stayed on the right with Lineham and we played Sa and Talanoa left.

| Radford moved Ellis to the right for a couple of games but cant understand why he didn't move yeaman to right centre as has been suggested.
maybe he finds it difficult to pass a ball left to right.
Seems obvious to most fans when just about every team peppers our right edge and is where several games have been lost.
I hope Jason Crookes gets a fair run of games as I expect him to return against Wakefield.it would be a good time to try Yeaman with Crookes on the right and move Ben Crooks to the left until Lineham is fit

EDIT: reads as I wouldn't have Sa as a starting centre. I meant Yeaman.

| Yeaman should have been gone long ago and Turner on the right with Crooks on the left (we might have stood a chance of keeping Briscoe then)
Still, if his buddy has anything to do with it, Yeaman short of several major brain farts isn't moving anywhere...positionally or otherwise.

Yeaman struggles to pass all together so doesn't really matter!

Your obsess with Radford is getting embarrassing, if he had mates Horne would have started yesterday, Radford rightly or wrongly is picking the best team to win the game.
Apart from about 6 games Turner was poor for Hull.

How do you know it's his buddy and is bullet proof? People keep saying this but just sounds dumb to me. There's coaches all around the league who coach mates ex teammates etc
RadFord is an successful man,Youngest coach, has had a career and a trophy list 90% of players will never achieve, a boxer of reasonable standard, coached at various levels since 22 and is successful business. This all comes from being driven determined and single minded. If Sa and crooks play to any standard and help make radFord successful in his job then he's gonna use them. The other option is he plays his 'mate' and undermines himself, which won't happen if he wants a long term career at it. I don't know Lee but if he had truly viable options I don't think it would even be a debate. Just doesn't strike me as someone who would set himself up to fail for sentimental reasons!

Certainly does, made a few mistakes IMO, but dont think he is just picking his mates though, if he does he will lose his job soon and be unemployed.

Good post.
When some have set their stall out and are not prepared to give our head coach a fair crack of the whip it's difficult for them to temper their frustrations.

Fair play to the poster though in respect of Turner - a young lad who has got better as he has played more games. Bit like we're hoping from Crooks really.

Says who, you? Frankly your opinion counts for diddly squat, even less so when you post diatribe responses like that that actually offer no rebutal of the opinion I posted regarding Yeaman/Radford
That Turner was already the better attacking centre when he was at Hull is a personal opinion, I'm sure every team in SL would rather have Yeaman over Turner though by your way of thinking
And as for his inclusion yesterday, that in itself is no measure of how Radford's thought process works, again, I'd rather have Arundal in there but clearly some on here and Radford are ready to bin him off.
Yeaman has had more than a fair roll of the dice, and yes he does come up with the odd very decent performance and is an excellent tackler..but I'd like to see Arundal get the same because I think he has more potential than we are allowing him to show..but you & your cronies know best
Anyhow crack on with your lame/embaressing responses because I'm having a chortle here reading them..

I think most of them are his mates. he needs to pick a team and stick with it for a few weeks though and stop tinkering every week

| Yeaman isn't bad a player some people make him out to be.. Yes his judgement in attack for last few seasons.. Well.. But his game has always been round his defensive duties.
Complain all you like about his attack but can't knock his defensive work. Which usually goes unnoticed.

If you think Arundel is a SL centre your RL knowledge is worst than I thought, he has a number of chances and not produced the goods, I seen him him have some decent games, but not once against decent opposition.
As it stands Yeaman is our 2nd best ( could be argued 1st this season), so he has to play. The big test will if/when we sign Sa.
It's fairly obvious as soon as Radford was appointed you were never going to give him a chance, no matter happens and you look to have a go at him no matter what he does.

I doubt it, was average at Cas and Hull, let's be honest although done well at Donny, if he was that good, he would be tearing defences apart in the championship.
However if any coach can get the best out of him it will be Powell, but I bet he never makes it as a top SL .

The kid is still only 22 years old and has had a couple of injury ravaged seasons. That is the worry. His injury record.
Plus we mess him about and stick him on the wing in a crucial cup tie with an out of confidence centre inside him.
Bet his confidence is shot right now.
There is a difference between a SL centre and a TOP SL centre. You don't think he will be either? Fair enough.
I think he will prove to be a decent SL centre akin to many playing in SL at the moment. That is given time and change of luck with injuries.
