| Obviously I won't be popular but yet another poor game from Tom.. Should he be dropped??
Arguably our worst player 2 weeks in a row now and we expect more from an 'international'..
Thank god the fashionable scapegoat (Will Sharp) wasnt playing, or was it still his fault we lost??
Also good to see 'safe hands' Whiting drop a few balls today...

| I think Tommy Briscoe, like a lot of the Hull FC players have been below par for about 3 weeks or so now...we're consistant and being in-consistant

I'd like to see the incident before commenting. It's not always straight forward when one player catches another.

Welham was on the other wing, He had to cross field as well to catch him, I got the distinct inpression as soon as Briscoe caught sight of Welham as Briscoe crossed the half way line he knew the gig was up.
He did the classic in-out motion but Welham had him well scouted.

Good to see? Nice little agenda you have there. I'd also like to know how you expected him to catch that ball from Turner as it was an atrocious pass that was miles in front of him.

Whiting has had a few poor games this season yet seem to be bullet proof when compared to Sharp.
Does that mean everyone who attacks Sharp has an agenda?

I was referring the fact he thought it was 'good to see'. Personally, I think it'd be good to see every player on the pitch playing really well, not making mistakes, would you not agree?

| First of all, it's not "good to see" any Hull player playing poorly. What an awful statement from a so called fan.
Secondly, Whiting has performed remarkably on a number of occasions, including many MOM performances, and all this whilst being messed about in a number of positions. He has many more good games than he does poor. This is why he gets the benefit of the doubt. Same for Briscoe (minus the moving positions).
Sharp makes the same mistakes on an almost weekly basis, and is showing little sign of improvement. This is why people are losing their patience.
Only someone with a hidden agenda would not see the differences.

Sorry but that's rubbish, I like Whiting but he has not had many motm performances this season. His defence has been suspect on a few occasions and he has made a few errors. I am not slating him just saying it how it is.
As for Briscoe there are plenty of things he needs to improve on such as catching, positional play in attack and support play and he has also regularly been making mistakes.
Yes Sharp too has made mistakes mainly from high kicks and defensive positioning but anyone who only feels the need to point out Sharp's faults in his very own thread each week clearly has a hidden agenda, well actually it's not very hidden.

Of course I would I just think that certain players can make mistakes without been crucified whereas some get slated when it's not even their fault.

| Will Sharp's nickname must be 'Hokey Cokey' by now with him being in and out so often!!! Agar signed him and therefore pinned his colours to the mast at that point. The fact that he now gives Sharp a game and then drops him for the next one indicates that he knows he got it wrong by signing him in the first place. Just another indication of how clueless our 'head Coach' is. As for Briscoe, when was the last time he got three passes in a season like the three David Hodgson got in ONE game against us recently???

That's fair enough and I tend to agree with what you're saying, just not in this instance regarding Whiting. To pick him out for criticism after yesterday is daft as he was nowhere near being our worst player and to highlight a certain part of his performance as poor when it wasn't even his fault reeks of having an agenda.

| Just to point out, i didn't mean 'good to see' in the literal term.. I wasn't jumping around celebrating when he dropped that ball.
I simply meant the fact that some on here will defend Rich Whiting and Tom Briscoe to such a level that they'll even blame other players for their mistakes... For example: When Sharp drops a ball it's Sharp's fault, when Whiting drops a ball it's Turner's fault for the poor pass.. In that instance i'd agree the pass did look poor but only because Whiting was out of position IMO.
I actually prefer Sharp to Whiting and think we'd have been better yesterday had it been the other way around!!

You admitted you prefer Sharp to Whiting. You also admitted that the pass looked poor but then shifted the blame on to Whiting for being out of position. Would you have done the same had Sharp dropped the ball and had been standing in the same position? I'm pretty sure you'd have agreed it was a poor pass and just left it at that.

I would direct the blame at whoever i thought was to blame.. If it was a poor pass, a poor carry, a poor catch or a player out of position i would try a fair explanation as to what i felt was wrong... Not everyone will have the same opinion but i won't start a thread campaign against Will Sharp or any other player for every single error. People often forget the good things he does aswell.
Obviously, like everyone else, i'm a big fan of Tommy Briscoe but he has been our worst player consistently for the last 3 games IMO but people still found it necessary to put the sole blame for the Hudds defeat at Sharp's door. It's laughable....
