Only Smales has us finishing above Rovers, in 6th, most have us at 7 or 8. To be honest I'm happy to be the underdog for a change, less pressure



Pinkney has Rover's in 5th, IMHO they have a good 17 but any injuries and they could be in trouble.

I cant see Rovers, or ourselves for that matter, dislodging one of Wigan, Warrington, Huddersfield, Saint Helens or Leeds. Top five are nailed on for mine, with a mini battle between ourselves, Rovers, Catalan, and Salford for the remaining play-off spots. The rest are in a relegation battle I think.

Not too far off with those predictions wont be much between the two teams this year again. Neither club will finish 5th though as the top 5 last year are still a lot stronger than either Hull club.

Reading that though, too many are underestimating the loss of Dobson, one of the best players in SL and those who have seen Keating play (which I Don't think they have reading there comments) know he isn't as good as Dobson. Keating has better defence, but Dobson's running, passing and kicking is far superior to Keatings IMO.

rovers won't finish 5th. they would have to finish above one of leeds, saints, wigan, hudds and warrington. of these you could argue that wigan are the weakest of the 5, but have a much better squad than both rovers (and hull). of the rest its all up in the air and pretty open. hull or rovers could finish anywhere from 6th to 11th

That's how I see it too.

A team could break into the top 5, it only takes one of the names above to have key injuries and it falls apart quickly, wire will miss briers a lot, wigan tomkins etc, don't think either hull club will break in but cats have an outside chance.
The teams to watch are the ones with settled half backs.

Usual garbage from the Mail, more change of me winning rear of the year than Rovers getting in the top 5. Hardly a balanced view either with Richardson, Pinkney, Fewings & Mullan all having a foot in Rovers camp. Wonder where the Doc was?

Doc's got a new job, a pretty good one at that by the sound of it, currently too busy signing up all the young players especially Hull and Rovers players.

After the Wigan away game Sandercock will be given a vote of confidence from messiah hudgell, they will then beat two poor sides in wakfield and the Drama Queens Bradford before losing to wire and it starts all over again.

I don't get where they're coming from saying this is the best squad rovers have assembled,it isn't. Justin Morgan had far far better to work with than what they have now. They seem dismissive of Hull's new players yet overly enthusiastic about Rovers signings. It's all bullshine and pleased to see people who support both clubs are able to see it.

fwiw I agree with you, this squad is no where near the one we had with galea newton vella in it, that team finished 4th this one will get no where near that. I've not heard many big our squad up tho, only the usual over optimistic lot. I don't support both clubs but equally think your signings are nothing to get excited about either, the pack has a lack of balance with a lot of impact but no real grafter to do the hard work whilst the cannon balls take a breather every five mins.

6th at very best, 10th at worst for both clubs, either or both coaches could be gone by june.

the players you mentioned were all quality imports and could easily have stayed in aus and played first team every week. sadly the strength of the aussie dollar is preventing many players of that calibre coming over anymore, with one or two exceptions. none of hull and rovers current imports comes anywhere near to their quality

Agree with finishing positions but hope Radders proves doubters wrong, and think he will still be the coach for 2015. Things may be a bit clearer by round 9 which just happens to be the Derby at CP....

at the end of the day it's only a bunch of journalists predictions isn't it, im pretty sure some off here will get closer than most of them lol

it was interesting to hear that Huddersfield only had 2 injuries last season, if either of our 2 sides could have that luck with injuries then IMO silverware COULD be close.

it's the same journalists that get pi55ed up at the CC Final and decide the Lance Todd Trophy winner at half time because they wont be able to see straight later.
