i would seriously consider throwing serious cash at this guy to get him at fc..everytime see the guy he impresses me, i know it was rumoured to be on the cards last year etc, but feel that wilth our new chairman and possibly new coach, if he would be available, im sure we could afford him and he'd want to come.
thought he was outstanding again today, a proper player, one in whch if we want to compete with the wigans etc etc we should try to sign ASAP before someone else does....

Because we now have an abundance of contracted half-backs and the salary cap has to distributed to other areas with balance.

Quality player, but we need to strengthen other places before looking at him, though I'm a massive fan of his. For next season we already have Seymour, Horne (which I'm still iffy about), Nicklas and Ellis are all signed up for next season and are half-backs, plus Obst as a half/hooker.
We need to look to strengthen our pack (new prop and backrower), and then look at a right centre (depending on the Gleeson situation) before anything else.

I thought he went missing today barring his try and his drop goal was a gimme.

Chase started the game at walking pace, didnt seem up for it, but still showed enough flashes of brilliance to suggest he is one of the best gamebreakers in Super League.

NRL may beckon.

He was quiet in the first half today but came to life in the second. His try was nothing short of brilliant, he eludes tackles for fun and has a kicking game to boot. He single handedly beat hull at Castleford when we played them at the Jungle in 2009. I remember the game well as the Hull fans were singing "you're not fit to wear the shirt" at Christ Thorman. We've tried to sign chase on more than one occasion so think he's made his mind up that he doesn't want to come to Hull unfortunately.

I must say I must be one of a few SL fans who is not all that impressed. He is a good player and better then Horne but he's too explosive and IMO one of the reasons Cas did not win today.

He was lucky at the end when Cas should have made way to the sticks for a drop goal and he started throwing it about and luckily the Leeds player couldn't hold on to a possible interception.

I often think that our desperation to have exciting half backs makes us want to sign any half back who may have had a half decent game in a season. I mean people actually wanted us to sign Jarrod Sammut ....

I think he is a fabulous player and alongisde an organising 7 he is dynamite, a real matchwinner.

I have always rated Chase, he is a game breaker, would love to see him in our kit.

More likely to sign Rango the lizard than Rangi the wizard if Agar stays!!!

You wont sign him, Nobody will yet. As much as you may have money, It will cost more than half a million quid to get him.

Rangi has signed an extension, Still to be announced. Keeps him at the club till the end of 2014. Where he will either return to the NRL, Or sign again for Cas - All depends how we have developed and how he is doing at getting into the NZ side.

He is easily the clubs highest paid player ever now, And he himself has asked for a clause in his contract, Saying there is no way on earth it can be bought out. He loves the club, The town, The fans. He will never play for another SL side, I am sure of that

Rangi Chase has asked for a clause in his contract stipulating no buy out?

Seems logical, it could be really annoying to him if a big NRL club came in for him wanting to enhance his pay and prospects. I can understand why he'd want to avoid that.
