I've been watching Hull for 16 years and in that time we have had some very good hookers, I think Houghton over the last few months as surpassed Swain for me personally and hope this carries on for many seasons yet.
But when his time does draw to an end we definitely need a specialised hooker to replace him and Naughton is certainly not that and never will be imo. Although I expect Naughton to be a very good try scorer on our wing for many years.
At the minute Houghton as become irreplaceable however and we need to hope he stays injury free.
As we saw at St Helens our team have no back up and the fact just about every player stepped in and took his job from the play the ball showed that, some more successfully than others too I must add!

Clearly reading and comprehension isn't a strong point on this forum, read it again. Lucky because if Pearson had not dug deeper to get the players he failed to previously and made promises regarding such Radford would not have the tools/players to achieve what he has, in that Radford got lucky because none of the previous 2 coaches had that backing nor opportunity to have a top line squad that Radford has enjoyed this season have they?
That's not putting down anyone nor disrespecting players or Radford. If you can't comprehend what I said that's the failing of you and others here.

It's laughable. Last week some of the young players who came into the side after celebrating the challenge cup win just as hard with the players who played got slagged off from pillar to post by some of the so called fans on here. Abdul and Naughton in particular. Two young exciting players which any Super League club would sign up tomorrow. But a lot of the users on here hammer some of the young players after one below average game just like they did with Jamie Shaul two years ago. Everyone of the players who played in the Challenge Cup Final will deservedly go down in Hull folklore. But if any of you think that Warrington, Wigan and Saints aren't now wise to the fact that we are a forward orientated team with only Shaul as the real flair player at the moment, you are all living in dream land. Let's inject some pace into the side for the run in. Whether it be Naughton, Lancaster or whoever. Give the other play off teams a new puzzle, because I can tell you now 100% they've solved this one.
