In all seriousness tho, they often have the mascot package as an auction item at work (for charidee, admitedly) and usually goes for over £100, which shows there is the market out there. And as they are still having the randomly selected mascots, I don't see an issue with it.

I don't often comment on here as I don't have a lot to say about your club, I do enjoy the arguments though and as a discussion about kids being mascot's go this has got to be one of the very best.

Kids are a gift, not a burden and made my life complete in many ways, I paid my taxes, paid my dues and did my bit and gave much more than you ever will to my country but dont look upon anyone less fortunate then me as below me and certainly dont see the unemployed or students as spongers of my taxes, I do my bit as best i can for my family first, myself second and my country third but unlike you I dont carry a chip on both shoulders about life...
And if I wanted to pay to take my lads to watch the match or be a mascot then i would because i can.....and hope that when I cant look after myself my family will do so and not be a burden on society or its health system.

I work with a fella like you, thinks hes the mutts nuts at everything and knows a Marine engine inside out, could sell water to the Lake District but most of it smells of pizz.

I can't comment on how I feel as a parent because I don't have kids but can understand how parents would get rather peeved by this. I just hope the experience doesn't become a "them and us" as is so happening in todays world. That would be very unfair for the kids who couldn't understand why little Johnnie is getting more attention/photos/autographs than little Mary.

The mascot has always been a free to experience (although I know you do have to purchase the full kit if not got it already) and quite rightly so which should be retained imo. I know AP is looking with £ signs at this but its not something new, mascots have been running out with the team for years and years and imo you can't suddenly start charging for the priviledge.
