Of course, the flip side is that we struggled to beat a poor Bradford side thrashed by Salford just a week later - the winning try coming from a complete miskick when Horne went for a drop goal.
This was followed by a poor effort in losing to Catalan, when they'd lost every other home game this season.
We then made a meal of beating the worst Rovers side to show up in the Super League era, with them in turmoil thanks to their clownish board and the Mason debacle.
Month rounded off by a decent win against a good side.
Won't win Manager of the Month for April but I'd like to think that this month is the springboard to better things and maybe a run at Manager of the Month sometime in the near future.
What I am pleased about is that Hull been getting the rub of the green after some woeful luck earlier on. Defo evidence that luck evens itself out
I have been a harsh critic of Agar. But i have to hand it to him, in the post-match press conferences and interviews he sounds calm and collected. I'd be delighted if he won 'Coach of the month', but more than that i'd be a whole lot more delighted if i realised the last three years were all part of some grand plan and i'd been wrong about Agars coaching abilities.
