I've seen Hull score an 8 pointer. Down in the capital against "Fulham" at Crystal Palace athletics stadium if I remember right Schofield was fould after scoring, the normal conversion was taken from where the try was scored but he resultant penalty was taken from in front of the sticks. 1985 I think
First time I remember an 8 point try was in GB v New Zealand or Aussie game back in the 70's , was a French reff we had never seen it before but was common in France .
Of cause our opposition objected strongly but reff stood his ground on it .
Was on BBC TV and caused a stair at the time in commentary team .
The goal kicks where as try scored then second one from 10 yards out in front of sticks .
Quote="Big Dave T"Think SL should look to do it more when there's an offence in the process of scoring. We seem to not even think about it over here.'"
I agree mate, don't like the cheap shots that come in when a try is scored.
Quote="trys'r'us"The last one I remember seeing was around 5 years ago. It was for Saints and against Wakefield as Solomona fouled Roby whilst the latter was scoring.'"
Saints getting a decision and more points for them also. Never
