| Does Cas's progress so far this season in matters on and off the field remind you very much of a certain former Super League side?

| Cas were always going to be next in line for the relegation favourites tag.

| Hmmm, let me think.
If we had beaten Cas home and away last year, they would be down, and we would be in SL.
If we had stayed up, we'd be dead this year (because the situation wouldn't be there for Mr Ellis)...
And if Cas had gone down...well same as this year...they're dead.
Too little, too late for them.
Axiom are banking on it!

| I find it funny every game they blame the officials yet didn’t think Kendall did anything wrong at Belle Vue last year.

| I watched the cas game last night…
And yes reminded me all over of us last year.. dead wood players that they cant afford to of load, little organisation and even less enthusiasm in the latter stages of the game..
Looks like cas are prioritising IMG points of the pitch this year ..
the new stand cant come soon enough but at what cost?
If Mr Jepson is as loaded as cas fans think he is …. Now’s the time to get his hand in his pocket….. dig deep lad… dig deep!

| That would certainly have been us had we been fortunate/unfortunate enough to stay in super league last year. I said at the time that relegation would be my preferred option and certainly hold by that belief.

| Their pack, with the exception of Westerman was very poor and the two halves, probably worse, although Milnes seemed to cause some problem for Huddersfield with his kicking game.
Tbf, I'm not too bothered about Cas, it's all about us getting back into SL and progressing from there.

| I wouldn’t be bothered with them being in a different division…however now that IMG points count towards your status, the further down the table cas finish.. the better it is for us…

| I’m not sure I go with the idea that the Ellis takeover would not have happened if we’d have stayed up. It may have been a different deal but I see no reason why it wouldn’t have happened.
I do actually agree that relegation has probably helped us, but not sure it was pivotal to the take over.

| Yeah ME had started putting money in well before the end of the season, he would have taken over regardless.
If he wanted the club in the Championship he wouldn't have paid for Gale and DF.

There are some on their site think he’s loaded but he isn’t his investment is being spread over 3 years and the first payment just sneaked in to last years account, but it’s not his money it’s on his company, a property speculation developer, there’s only one reason they have invested in CTrL and Weldon road

| It’s really not our problem we should just be grateful someone was willing to take us over when they did or all this talk of returning to SL would only be a pipe dream even with the new stand. I think in the entire tenure of our SL existence we have been lucky to survive with problems both on and off the field. We can all remember when the media turned up for our expulsion only to be saved by the demise of the Crusaders. How many times have we won the last game to stay up and even relied on Castleford to beat Salford.

| I think ME would have continued with the take over regardless of relegation or not but it would have been impossible to improve the squad enough to have anything other than another season of struggles and woe. This reset season in the Championship is by far a better option imho.

Exactly this.
Frankly I don't care about Cas one way or the other but my focus is on trinity.
I don't know Matt Ellis but he hasn't got where he is without being smart and I'm sure our IMG rating will only increase as time passes
