But to be honest I think we will get drip fed players over the next 12 months or so as we build a super league competitive squad . Jermaine has already stated that this is his last hurrah as I suspect will Gale and probably a few more besides, who will look to keep in the championship .Listening to Powell on the heritage podcast he has been given the remit to make us a successful club in super league and that’s why him and his team have taken up the gauntlet to deliver just that .

Personally think we're covered with 'middles' but appreciate some of these signings may be with a view to 2025 recruitment with Pitts, Ashurst, Griffin and Bowden not getting any younger , however we may end up with too many non-fed players if we get back into SL, or at least leave us little room to bring in proven quality.

Would like to think now the coaches n back room staff have had time to run an eye over our rosta for this season they can see going forwards where we may need to strengthen. And players will be coming onboard at regular intervals so as to hit the ground running if we get that super league nod

With luck we may be playing 40 matches this season if all goes to plan. With that in mind I can understand the need for another forward. Injury cover and squad rotation my well be the order of the day.

I’m not so sure the two are as interchangeable these days in the modern game as they were. I’d much prefer an exclusive half or a 13/prop with size and some hands.

Just because Wrsterman can fill in the odd game at halfback doesn’t make him a good option there.

These days you see more of a full back/half back combination. Field/french/Miller/Hampshire.

At 13 we have Pitts, Cozza, Bain so are reasonably okay there.

So long as the player incoming adds to the starting team and will be of good quality to enhance the team I’m fine with any position.

By the sounds of it we’ve signed some crackers to come on stream for next season , never heard him so upbeat about a club , seeing as he’s done his best to lighten us of some of our finest youngsters over the last couple of seasons or so .
