I thought I read somewhere that the prices had already been set ready for going on sale tomorrow.
Why do we need the fixture list? Is there a pre-set number of games on the plastic cards?

I guess we don’t currently know how the leagues will be formulated and by default the number of games we play. They may know how much they want to charge per game on a season ticket but currently they don’t know how many home games we have.

OK. I presumed that the cost mentioned was for the "ticket" rather than per game. Fair enough if that's the case.

The last 3 seasons that I've been following the championship and L1 the fixtures came out around 2 weeks after the SL fixtures, usually last week in November/first week in December.

Look like you could be right, tweet from Gledhill suggesting Newcastle have 2 weeks to decide one way or the other.

Newcastle Thunder have two weeks to save their short-term future and make plans for the 2024 League One season. I really hope the existing support base backs this new vision for the club. A lot of hard work has gone into giving #RugbyLeague a visible presence in the North East.

Whatever happens surely we're going to end up with roughly the same number of home games. Doesn"t really matter if people end up with 2,3 or 4 free games.

Surely that matters a lot. Its how they work out their price point.

Either way. You shouldn't sell tickets when you don't know what you are selling.
And the people buying don't know whether they can attend the games they want to without the fixtures.

The right thing is to wait.

There's the issue of the 1895 Cup to consider.

It's rumoured to be having more games/a round robin phase.

Those games need to be factored in, as it's well known that ST holders don't like buying "extra" cup tickets.

It doesn't kill us to wait a short time - all clubs in our division are in the same boat.

New rumour in all of this, it's being held up by Newcastle, who still haven't confirmed their participation in L1, which is holding up fixtures there that may finally influence the 1895 cup and maybe even the whole structure of L1 & championship.
They've been given 2 weeks to finalise and confirm.

Remember going to Donny when I was very young,clinging on for dear life on the back of a moped-type thing behind my much older brother.
The field on that day was a bog and I remember it being near a scrapyard or something like that.I don't go to away games anymore and haven't done for a long time.But who knows, may give it a try.

I was planning to go to the club shop tomorrow, but Interesting point that we need to buy on line if possible, so that what I intend to do

I think the online ticket buying, is a bit negative, people should be encouraged to buy at the shop, buying the ticket there I think would increase the merchandise sales with all this feel good atmosphere around at the moment, plus not everyone, particularly the oldies like me can fathom online buying with all the options and sliders.

I'm assuming it's a fandom thing to get increased traffic

But yes I agree with you Dunk, I'd have thought they'd go for knock-on sales.
