We all know of img points system, however, who/where /when are the deciding factors ?
Does/are img control the system or do the RFL decide who replaces who ?
When would be the cut off date for what point all clubs are checked & ratified upon ?
Clubs & players need to know a certain date for promote or demote with all the implications etc
Would or could the RFL ignore a clubs greater points from promote, ie, SL have already ignored img twice.
Can a demote club & a promote club appeal & would there be a time limit ?
If two clubs had greater points than two current SL clubs would two be promoted ?

I'm interested in this so I've read it a lot.
And JM covered a couple of these points in the Member Shareholders meeting.

The crazy thing about moving to the decision being based on things other than just game play is that a team could conceivably win both the grand final and challenge cup, and still be dropped down into the championship for the next season because they didn't get enough clicks on their website and they haven't put LED signs around the ground meaning there were more teams who graded above them

Good point about the appeal process too. It would be possible for two or more clubs to be graded on exactly the same points, and if that was for eg the 12th and 13th spot - which would get the SL spot and who would be in the championship?

Apparently, this is what the majority of RLFC voted for, I don’t think it will be long before the majority of those voters regret that decision, the question will be, how will they get out of a 12 year contract agreement with IMG, remember this, “If you lie down with the Devil, you wake up in Hell”.

12 of them won't regret it. And certainly the A grades won't.

In terms of Eggs comment.
Although it is possible, if a team won grand final and challenge cup, they will have bug crowd numbers and probably good digital following so to be 13th on the list their finances and stadium must be awful.......so maybe they deserve to go down.
It would stop teams going for broke and buying the top team but getting themselves into massive debt.

Yes as this comes into effect and we start to see the problems develop ,I am sure there will be many complaints from various clubs. I think the whole concept is wrong and I don't think any other major UK sport would go down this route. I agree there needs to be incentives for clubs to improve and develop but not at the expense of basic sporting principals. Your position in the league or leagues must be dependent on your on field performance and nothing more.
