Last I saw we were only getting 12 start . With our last few performances I really think we need a few more than that.

Agreed.... especially considering Saints have won 5 on the spin since losing the CC Semi to Leigh.

Saints are 1/5 for the win. Same odds as Salford were last week.

It's hard to see anything other than a regulation win for Saints, by 18-24 points.
There has been little evidence in our last two games that there is enough fight or ability to cause an upset.

The number of dumb plays last week suggests that the pressure is too much for some of the players.

On the plus side, we do look capable of getting into the opponents 20, it's just a bit of execution at the right moments.

And please, if we ware forced to drop out, unless it's in the last 10 minutes of the game, lets not try short one.
We got what we deserved last week and that moment was where the game went away from us.

Time for the players to go out and play as though they want to win more than Saints because that’s the only way we will beat them.
They have talent in every position but a good team effort can overcome that.

Taking Saints to beat the handicap of 12 looks better value but, that means backing against Trinity.
We cant be doing that, it's just grubby.

Still worth mentioning we are still 4 wins from our last 5 home games and we usually give Saints a decent
game at home.

So not a great record against St Helens in recent years at BV but we don't usually give them an easy game.

All about attitude playing Saints. If you give them too much respect they’ll walk all over you.
We have to get in their faces from the outset and play with determination.
The players need encouragement and some pushing on the pitch and if I were the coach I’d pick out least two players to do that. Oh for a Derek Turner!

We need to control the ball a lot better than we did last week. If we make the same errors as we did against Salford Saints will score 60.
Let’s hope they can settle down and show some composure and play to their potential, then we have a chance.

I think it's more to do with the opposition.
If they stand off us we can play good composed rugby. The teams that rush us cause errors.
We need to be better at that as teams will now see that.

As previously stated saints are without 2 of their biggest forwards which if ours man up should hopefully give us the edge in the forwards , yes our back line is not up to scratch but a Wigan esq performance against them could be interesting. No one gave us hope against Wigan and yes it was a nail biter but it was a win against far far more illustrious opposition in every department. We have a knack of pulling these games out of the bag , let’s hope the rugby gods are shining down on us this Sunday

So by big changes Mash meant enforced changes. Dagger at FB. Gale and Lino blundering in the halves, Hood plodding around at 9. Proctor contributing his usual 15 minutes, Trinity in no danger of troubling the score board. How terribly uninspiring.

And we are missing Whitbread, Jowitt, Lyne.
It will be 40+ to Saints and not many for us



I really hope that we can make something of a game of it as time is not on our side but, this could get very messy.
