We constantly hear coaches rolling out excuses about their spine being disrupted because one of its constituents is out of the team. This got me thinking about our spine at Trinity and even though we have been particularly poorly served in that department for a decade now, I'm pretty certain that through 18 matches this season, we haven't played the same spine twice in succession. It is even possible that we haven't played the same spine twice all season.

We must surely be due a change in fortune very soon.

On a quick scan through the teams, it's only happened twice where we had two consecutive weeks with the same spine of 1, 6, 7 and 9.

All coaches say that's an important thing. Not just Mash.
And it's hurt us badly.

We only had half a spine before the season started ,and over all we have had a poor 6 and 9 for most of the season .Think losing the first 15 matches on the trot can not be all down to a bad spine, More down to poor coaching and recruitment.
