28th April was the press release that he had signed for NRL. So it's either a dream and was just fantasy, or shabby reporting by the club. However in all fairness, when it says looking forward to his return it doesn't mention Trinity

In all seriousness I hope he does well but not many make a long term move so hopefully he comes back (to us) while he's still in his prime. |

I don’t see any confusion with the release.
It’s an injury update and says looking forward to them coming back stronger in 2024 (from injury). Doesn’t say with Wakefield either. Why wouldn’t the club wish a player to come back stronger in 2024 if they’re currently with us and doing rehab.
It was pretty obvious what it meant unless you’re being pedantic.

It was a little bit of fun, clutching at a glimmer of optimism. It's about what isn't written, as much as what is.
