With Leigh playing well just now, this wont be enough.

I'd be surprised if Whitbread and Pitts aren't given this week off to recharge the batteries considering the work that they have done over the past few weeks / months. We've pretty much given up on this fixture as it stands so no need to risk two key players for much more important games coming up. Atoni in for Whitbread and Battye replaces Pitts and maybe a spot on the bench for Joe Law.

I wouldn't be risking Pitts if his ankle hasn't fully healed thats for sure, he's been one of the few who have performed consistently well this year and we can't afford to lose him for an extended period of time. Same goes for Kay and that leg injury, it was still a mess last week by all accounts and with cover in the squad why risk it.

Think it’s important Trinity put out their strongest most experienced available players against Leigh even though it’s the cup they can’t afford another blow out score . I’d hope Proctor could play longer minutes in his natural second row position and Pitts has played centre before….

We should play Law or Pratt.

I'm not sure what I'd do for this game.
There's no real value to winning apart from a boost to confidence and some extra gate receipts in next round.
Good as they are, the real target is a win in the league and an extra game won't help.

However, confidence is a big thing so scoring tries is the aim for me. No point playing conservatively. Play to attack and see where it takes us. If it's a win then great.

This is an ideal opportunity to give Pratt and/or Law a run. Both are pacey and it would be nice to see some of that pace in the backs even if it could costs us in defence. Pratt and Law will also have a better chance of getting at least hand on the Leigh wingers as they charge down those touchlines.

I'd be delighted if we (Leigh) win by 14. I know we'd like a cup run, but tomorrow should be a tough encounter.
