If you read the article it details all the other roles. Looks like a good team to me.

A few things.

These look like good additions and appear to have been selected by Mash himself with some local links and some good experience (some from educational sector).

That is a very informative and positive article release.

I have noticed the club seem to be communicating better through media channels and it does look more professional and positive on recent releases. Long may that continue as communication and engagement is important.

Pure guesswork I know, but it feel’s like you’re putting a good coaching set up together - I’d be happy enough as a wakey fan considering the alternatives!

Whichever way I phrase this I'm going to sound like I'm taking credit, but I'm not. These were issues regarding lack of information you all mentioned when I asked what you wanted me to ask JM about when I met him a few weeks back, so we can all take credit.

TBH the club have gone much further than I requested. I thought the Trinity TV video regarding the stadium was a master stroke, all I suggested was a statement. Today is even better because this wasn't really an issue, as I only really mentioned info regarding the stadium and more general stuff. Today's post is full of information, and as I stated it's typical of Applegarth attention to detail. He didn't need to do this but he did and the club followed it up.

I'm really chuffed, and if one or two other things that were discussed eventually come off, then the best is yet to come. One I hope to hear of soon is mundane but very useful. The other is very important and could transform the club (not in a Glover important way).

These may be a bit off, but keep an eye out.

I like what I am hearing. Smart ,educated and qualified people comming on board. Quite a step up from the chezzy/clogger type appointments.

Not sure, but listening to Mash thats probably correct. I remember getting told that we had employed a bright young bloke who was well qualified but he couldnt work under Clogger. Mash must know his qualities and seems to have no problem employing him again.

Matt cook who is coming in is excellent addition i know hecworked with johnstone among others

Not sure about that, this lad worked with Clogger for 6 years and left at the same time at the end of 2021 so i doubt thats the same person you're thinking of? Be a bit strange if so! Anyway good luck to all of them, there did seem to be an improvement in the conditioning side last year so lets hope they can build on that.

It doesn't matter at all, i was literally just pointing that he has previous history with us. I reconised the name, whether its a positive or negative only time will tell that. Personally I doubt Mash would employ someone to what is probably the most important job on the staff after his who he doesn't think is up to it though otherwise it's his you know whats on the block.

No denying he was with us for a good stint. TBH I've never believed that our S&C was any worse or better than anyone else. I think a lot of this come from 2004 when Evans?? was in charge and we went up a fair few notches, However what people forget is before 2004 I don't think we had the cash for specialist anythings after the Pearman collapse so we were bound to improve dramatically. IMO we don't look as fit as some teams for the simple reason that they are better than us and run rings around us using skill rather than brawn.

I seem to recall when Brian Smith was coach we was the fittest I’d ever seen also. I’m not sure his methods went down particularly well as memory serves (rumours only).

He brought his son over to sort them out in pre-season. Think he was the Roosters S&C at the time.

Was certainly the fittest I’ve seen Wakefield trinity but also Evans did a good job too.

Yes he did, the memory has faded but I seem to remember we were a real good second half team. No matter the score at half time we always felt we could win.
