| Lewis gets all the praise and why not he’s a great prospect.
But the best player in the back line today was Kershaw.
How underaged is this bloke. He tormented Wigan all game and his work rate was superhuman. His knows what his stats were but in that heat I don’t know how as a player only three games back did it it.
What an engine, what guts. If Lewis is an Aston Martin then Kershaw is a turbo charged Land Rover, almost unstoppable and every bit as good as Lewis in his own way.

| I agree. He's made a massive difference since he's come back.
There were lots of good performances today but I'd be happy enough if he got MoM.
A lot of players take time to build up confidence after a bad injury like he had but he's already 100 miles an hour.
Or to continue your analogy.....he's doing 50. Up hill. In the mud. With boulders coming the other way.

| One thing he did today which was weird, in a good way due to the heat. We forced an error around half way and he ran right across to congratulate the tackler/s. Most would use that spare moment to grab some air and water. The guy has incredible fitness and stamina.

| Kershaw was excellent today and against Cas. Last week he was a little off defensively but having only returned from
a year out and having 2/3 strong games he’s done well.
Id be more than happy for Kershaw and Murphy to be our starting wingers next season.Of course there’s Taufua in the mix who will no doubt be pushing for a wing spot but while ever Kershaw plays well he should keep it.
Youth and homegrown is the way forwards for trinity with some quality additions of course in the right areas.

I would think Jorge will have a pre season training in the centres

| Very pleasing to see one of our academy guys playing so well for us
Personally think when ever he plays he always gives a good account of himself
Right from that excellent first try he scored on his debut
Well done Lee

I may be wrong but isn’t he effectively on trial until the end of the season? So no guarantee we will sign him, apart from anything he’s not had the time to prove himself.
We have Kershaw and Murphy along with Evans who I rate and Kay as back up. There is no shortage of wingers at present in SL so replace Lineham and that’s five.
Ditto the centres. Hall, Lyne, Gaskell, Croft (who I thought improved a little). I also think it’s easier to slip in Academy players in the backs than the forwards if absolutely needed.
The debate now is do we need an NRL back or do we need it somewhere else ie Hooker.
I rate Hoid and Kay, but both are knocking on and Kay will always now be viewed as Utility. So me I’d either go for an Aussie pivot or maybe a tough tackle busting forward rather than a winger.
It’s not a deal breaker as it’s always what the coach wants. But resources as they are. All the same there is no doubt his addition would be very handy.

| Kershaw is your typical Trinity winger, strong and committed. He's not a Johnstone or Murphy who will covert the attention but he's value to us is no less. He must be a right pain the the to stop, not to mention energy sapping.

| Good game from Kershaw but he put years on me running the ball out towards the touch line a few times.

I am definitely with you regarding wingers. Where we really need to invest is a good half to replace Miller. I also agree somewhat on Hooker, some rate Hood more than others but be fair , he is the worst first choice hooker in the whole of SL. Not only that , its become such an important position in the modern game.
If the rumours are true, pack reinforcement funds have gone into Taylor. He is knocking on now but still a great defensive organiser in the middle. However on attack he seems to offer little from what i have seen.

I'm not convinced he's going to be honest, I'm not hearing it from anyone reliable. That doesn't mean he isn't, but the smoke signals are weak.
I've seen a lot of tapped up players at Trinity going through the motions at the end of a season. if Miller is one of them then he's one hell of an actor, that's all I can say.

Vasty, he has definitely signed for Cas, he has been given a three year deal.

Agreed,
I'd have said a McClaren tbh.......

The same could be said for Batchelor but it appears to be common knowledge he has signed for Hull KR. I guess it’s just personal pride not wanting to see the team relegated. The only question really is Fifita and the other players with options for another season.

| I’ve always thought in a few years, Kershaw will do a kirmond and move to 2nd row. Fast, strong and a decent tackler, just what you need when working hard in the middle. He’s Trin through and through, potential captain material in 5-6 years?

| On Kershaw, the effort and effectiveness of Kershaw, compared to Lineham is unbelievable. The lad had a great game yesterday (mind you, all 17 put their hands up).
