Wires main prop is on the move to Wigan ,let hope his heart isn’t in it for the club anymore, thought he would have seen his time out there ,Cooper always runs it in well and is a handful. They Will certainly miss Mata’utia As he ,always seems to put himself about . Can’t see it being a leeds score against them but hopeful of a good hard fought win .

I'd certainly take an "ugly" win.

Warrington are the most "underperforming" club this season.
Spending right up to the cap and dropping like a stone in the league.

Something clearly not right between Powell and some of the players but, they have enough quality players to put on a performance.
Lets hope we can gather some momentum and make it 3/3 v the Wolves.

Warrington are the Everton of rugby league. No plan, no culture and and a front office who have no idea how to run a sporting club. They just want to throw as much cash at the problem and hope it works.

There is never going to be a better chance to beat Warrington and probably secure our survival on ten points.

Yet despite Sunday's heroics, I have a feeling that we will shoot ourselves in the foot yet again.

Warrington will start nervously.

We will be asleep for the first thirty minutes and what chances we will get we will blow.

Warrington will score from nothing, gain confidence and we will collapse for the forty minutes.

With ten minutes to go, we will decide to play but it will be too late.

This is not me being a moaner or especially negative. It is the exact pattern of the last 3 seasons.

If however, we win it will set us up to beat Toulouse at magic and end any doubt. Thus allowing us to play as many youngsters as we dare in preparation for a complete team rebuild next year.

Let's hope I'm wrong on the former and right on the latter.

I am optimistic we can do it, but when we look slight favourites we often blow it.
Come on Willie,fire 'em up again, a win would go a long way to securing our future.

Warrington are 8/13 favourites and we have 3 start in the handicap at the moment.

I'm trying hard not to be negative and you would think on the back of a win, and having beaten them twice already away that we would beat them easy. Not so with us, it's building up for one of those massive anti climax games we're very specialist at but I hope I'm wrong!

Fair point Wollo,but I was thinking more along the lines of what our supporters were thinking, taking into account current form,and the fact we've beaten them twice already.The quality of their line-up gives them the edge with the bookies.

Remember this is Wakefield we are talking about. On current form, at the time, we should have beaten Leeds, Castleford and Shudds. That's only this season!

I’m afraid I agree. With the occasional season exceptions it’s been the Trinity way for as long as I remember.

Sunday was great and will have helped but there was nothing in that performance to suggest we will play like we did against Warrington in those two games.

For all their woes it’s at moments like these that teams like Warrington find their mojo, they really do have some top players and a good coach.

So I hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

I wonder if they will update the app to actually reflect that we have a game this week.

Can't bring yourself to congratulate the team when they win but spend your days looking for little negatives and post about it to make sure we know. Good work.

Good, I hope the bookies are wrong again

Rob Butler named in reserves. Surely we haven't signed a clause saying he can't play even though he's not even a wolves player anymore. They needed to offload him so surely we should have stuck to our guns if they requested this. However I could be completely wrong.

The reserves gives indication as to Sundays team. With Jowitt at fullback that would mean Gaskell remains at full back so Minns/Batch will be right centre.

Butler may be just to build match fitness. He went ok against Hull but didn’t do many minutes. With Battye missing from reserves I’m guessing he’s coming in for Butler. That’s fine but Battye has been out of any firm for some time so I hope he comes in and has a stormer.

Willie said they haven't decided on who will play centre, including Gaskell as an option so I assume Max is still a possible.

Max is in the 17 for reserves game named at full back for tomorrow. Can’t see him playing Friday and backing up Sunday so most Likely Gaskell at full back.

Croft has one more game to play for Newcastle before we can recall him which is a big shame. Hope we stick with Batchelor as Minns just seems to be a liability when called up.
Battye looked hopeless in last weeks reserves fixture agains the young guns of Hull FC. Wet paper bag and all that.

Yes I agree I went and Battye really surprised me with his poor performance. If he does get a shot I hope he busts a gut in an attempt to force his way back into contention.

I'll be satisfied if he manages a full game without getting penalised for an incorrect play of the ball.
