| Salford are missing both first choice second-rower's due to long-term injuries (James Greenwood and Shane Wright) and are also missing Harvey Livett with a calf injury, so good news for us there, along with Tom being back, but do we know what happened to Pitts or how long Dave is going to be out for ??

Pitts came back on and looked ok, but it's the one position we can cover better than most.
Dave, I don't know but it didn't look serious, seemed mobile enough to me when he was helping out in the dugout. I'd guess this Sunday or next.

If there is any risk with Fifita, we should wait for the Wigan game for him to come back.
I know that Salford would be a game that we would be targeting but, the cup game is bigger (I think).
Lets just hope that some of the stay away fans have been moved (literally) and come down to BV on Sunday and support the boys.
After the last 2 weeks, the team deserve some support.
Hopefully, some of the youngsters and their parents, who came to the Toulouse game will want to come back.

It was a surprise.
He went off holding his left shoulder and you certainly wouldn't have thought he'd be back on at that point.

I noticed that too. Probably not used to the big minutes and got blisters lol.
Hopefully nothing too serious in the camp.
If Fifita is fit enough he plays. These are the games we need to be winning.

| Important game v Salford which will require 100% focus and effort. A win could take us up to 6th. A loss and we could drop to 11th.

Yes it’s a huge game and could really shape our season and kick start us into the mix. The same can be said of salford. If the players approach the game like they have the last 3 then I have every faith in them.

| Having watched the match on trinity tv, quite a few players looked spent at the end, there may be some rotation against Salford, that doesn't bother me, it's the continuity that changes rythem !
However, up the Trin.

| I watched the game back today.
There were some outstanding performers for us but we weren't perfect.
You have to remember Salford will be looking at that game and will probably send a fast lad down the middle against us to see if they can do what Warrington did in both games. That needs plugging.
Couple of issues at the play the ball with Lyne and Battye turning over ball that put us under real pressure.
They are also going to hound Lino so we'll have to protect him.
Saying that, I thought there were some players who really stepped up.
Whitbread played really long minutes and made some really significant unsung hero plays
Max saved us on a couple of occasions and his link up play is outstanding.
Batch was tackling so low he must have been scraping the floor. He really chopped players down and his post contact metres were unbelievable.
Kay was really good in both defense and attack. I really like him at hooker but he's a great talent and seems to be able to switch seamlessly.
More than anything our attitude when behind on the scoreboard and the resilience and fitness to stay in the game and then power on is probably our greatest asset. Keeping that momentum against Salford will be worth a great deal to the whole season.
I'm looking forward to it no matter who plays. The depth in the team is really showing now.

Agree, strongest possible team out!
This is our cup game IMO, a win against Wigan would be a bonus.

Yes but that doesn't necessarily mean the same 17 as Sunday.
There will be knocked, bruised and fatigued players. They may be the best players in that position but only if totally fit. Of course, all players are different but some just don't have the engines to do game after game.
There are at least six players who didn't play in that game who would be very able replacements. The team would not suffer in any serious way. Bowes, Fifita, Walker, Gaskill, Adibiya, Croft and of course TJ. You have got a lot of wiggle room there.

| Salford are a very dangerous team and their spine of Ackers, Croft, Sneyd and Brierly is as good as most in the league and Lafi in the is a very dangerous player. We should not underestimate them and I dont think we will but i can see it being a very close and evenly matched contest.

Indeed.
Even though the fans are getting excited (I know it doesnt take much for some of us), there really are no easy games and just as we may think "it's only Salford", they are more than capable of putting in a performance.
They've been well beaten by Hull FC and more recently v Huddersfield but, their other game have all been close and if we're not right on our game, Salford will win.
Having said that, if we defend as we have for the last 3 games, it's ours to lose.
Come on Trin !

Spot on, we are in a pretty luxury position that we have a lot of interchangeable players that doesn`t IMO effect the way in which we play or the strength of the teams performance, that`s the biggest thing that has impressed me so far about WPs reign a head coach. Would we rather have the likes of TJ and Dave fit and playing, yes of course, but it`s nowhere near as big of an impact to us as it would have been a year ago to us if they are missing. One of the gripes with Chester was when we swapped players out due to injury or rotation, we didn`t seem up to it at all, in fact, they could not execute the way we played. That has changed now and for me, is the biggest key to been consistent and ultimately what we deem to be a successful season.

| Brierley and Sneyd have both tormented us in the past and are very clever players. We need to keep them away from our 20.
If our forwards can get on top as i think they should, and we have good discipline (no piggybacks) then i reckon we will get the result.

Sneyd not so much but Brierly definitely. Not sure why as he doesn't seem to do it much to others but for us, he's been a nightmare at times.

| I See the Salford game as nothing other than a Trin win for me ,we are stronger all over the park. Salford have 3 or 4 players who can trouble us ,but overall we should be too much of a handful for them, if we can replicate anywhere near the intensity of the wires games . Not getting complacent or to under estimate them is the key to victory , but I’m sure they will have poaching’s game plan ringing in their ears as they run out on Sunday .

| We have to assume we'll be playing the team that beat Leeds and Cas.
I don't think they'll be a pushover at all.
Momentum is with us but that can easily change.

Last outing they were garbage and a comedy of errors ,my grandsons team would give leeds a game but Cas look to be finding some form at last . No team can be taken lightly pop tart but I’m very confident on this one ,seeing our last outing against theirs

| Historically this is the kind of fixture we would come tumbling back down to earth.
However I think the soft belly at the club seems to be less visible these days. WP in his short leadership stint
Definitely seems to have introduced some mental hardness.
The squad are definitely fitter than they have been and look more professional in their approach.
Great to see
