| Sorry this results a little worrying, if they can beat Saints at home they could make all home games 2 pointers.

| It's a result that's great for RL and the credibility of the comp. as was our great result today. I said on here the other day it's hard for teams to win more than 5 or 6 on the trot, although I didn't actually include Saints in that!! We were great today and it just shows if we can keep a settled(ish) team, we are gonna rattle a few cages this season. I think Hood has made a difference to our side, he needs to stay fit. I also think that was Jordan Crowthers' best game so far in a Wakey shirt, if he can continue to develop with ball in hand, at his age, the sky's the limit for him.

a couple of players out today but i wonder how the world beaters would fare if they had the injury lists that some S/L teams have this season

Weren’t saints ‘depleted’ vs London who were rock bottom and ended up giving them 4 points. Maybe it’s genuine injuries but if they’ve rested a few it smacks of a lack of respect and it appears a common theme.

It is but Saints we’re not that week.
I couldn’t understand why some on here were so dismissive of Toulouse last week. I thought they were pretty good and I imagine on home turf better still.
Whether they can maintain it I don’t know.
On paper though Saints we’re still strong enough to have won comfortably but didn’t.

| Sts didn't have a scratch side.
12 were from their original 17, with Hurrell and Amor added from outside.
There were only 2 names I didn't know.

Agree with that PT, I’ve only watched the highlights, but scratched my head when looking at the names on the Saints shirts, this is not a weak team selection.

| The bottom line is while ever we keep winning games we won’t have to worry about it so much. Realistically we should be looking to finish between 6-10 imo.
I really like the way Willie has the team playing and I think it’s time to be positive with what we’ve seen so far.
We could have been easily sat on 8 points.

| Surprised me did that result as Saints looked easily strong enough to win comfortably.
They were missing a few key players notably Walmsley who's a huge miss but arguably just as important their two usual 2nd row starters Batchelor and Matautia who are both key players for me in how they play.
I know they've started well and have looked untouchable up to now but I also think a weakness of there's maybe as a long season goes on having Welsby and Dodd at 1 and 7...both outstanding young players but I just wonder how good they'll be over the course of a full season in two very key positions...
Just shows though if you take a few key components out of any side (Saints included) you can get turned over by anyone in this league. Wonder how good they'd be if they went on a 5-6 game run continually missing 8 or 9 first teamers and having to play a different spine nearly every week!

| Well done Toulouse. At least these results should keep our players minds fully focused. I hated the days under Chester were we had no sense of urgency knowing we nearly always had a comfortably weaker team in our rear view mirror. Taking yesterdays result we have every reason to look up not down.

Also shows the importance of beating the Wire yesterday.

| Doesn’t matter who you are in the comp ,if you rock up to a game not fully focused or taking the opposition lightly this is the result .Saints may have had a few big names out but on paper they still had a very impressive squad at their disposal.IMO they underestimated their opponents rather badly and got what they deserved.whilst people might bemoan the fact that Toulouse have got out of the starting block and are breathing down our necks ,that should give us a timely kick up the Jacksy if needed that we can’t slacken off ,but keep playing to our strengths ,focus and improve collectively and IMO we are more than capable of holding a mid table position and let other teams get dragged into the dog fight at the bottom . For one I think we have a cracker in poaching and his work ethics both on and off the field are baring fruition on the players , and secondly the team are enjoying their performances and will only get better , even with fringe players added to the mix ,which will I think pay dividends in the long term , as no team will go the season without injuries and personnel changes .
