Thought Westy would be in the mix - perhaps the fact he's off to Cas!

For me, Pitts has looked a completely different player as the season has gone on, not saying he was poor to begin with, he`s always been solid but he seems to have picked up some really good form which I hope he can continue into next year.

It`s been a funny old season, the obvious candidate for me is Westerman, regardless of our performances he has consistently performed very well.

Probably go for Pitts this year myself. Westerman has dropped off since his England cap and he's off to Cas so b*ll*cks to him

Easily Pitts for me. He’s been consistently good for us. He’s impressed me this year.

It would have been Westerman but since he got his call up he’s been nothing more than average and missed a few games. He’s been putting a shift in but he’s been far from the best player on the field like he was early season.

Dark horse here but I’d be going with Brad Walker, we’ve looked a completely different outfit with him on the field.

1/ Jay Pitts, 2/ Joe Westerman. 3/ Lee Kershaw

I don't think it's an award but Kershaw would get my Most Improved Player award.

I think the fact that Lyne is currently injured may have put him out of people minds but for me, if you need a top three, he's way in front of Kershaw. IMHO

There is also a simultaneous vote under way for try of the season. There are 5 crackers to choose from and Max Jowitt has key involvement in the majority of them. So another contender maybe?

Westerman gets my vote, honourable mentions for Pitts & Lyne.

Pitt’s for me, the only player to achieve any real consistency.

Walker best young player.

Kershaw most improved.

Kay, most astonishing positional change.

If we're inventing categories then what about Arona - the most surprised to receive a pass from an opponent and score from it ??

Ah, yes FIL, but which would he get the award for?
Was he more surprised at -
A) receiving the pass?
or
B) actually making it to the try line?

B, I suspect

Pitt’s for me, don’t think I’ve seen him have a bad game, the lad is just so consistent at what he does. He doesn’t do spectacular stuff, but just grinds away as a very important cog within our team in both attack and defence.

Not sure about that last bit, I think he’s shown some real flair at times.
