| Completely slated the middles well Chris Green is your signing. We cannot continue like this.
Enough is enough I wanted it to work your a wakey lad but I turn his interviews off after 5 seconds so boring zzz.
If that has the effects on me imagine the team.
BRIAN McDermott in tomorrow eastmoor/ wakey lad time for a change.
I would even have Kear back tomorrow.
We have a losers mentality and LOSING is now becoming acceptable

| That game was summed up for me yesterday when fifita on one of his usual walk ups with ball in hand tried batting off a little Hudds player half his size who soundly put him on his arris . No heart ,no passion ,no desire ,and not just him but the team as a whole .We looked world beaters whilst they had 12 men on the field ,then reverted back to headless chickens with no idea whatsoever how to break down the opposition. This team we played wasn’t the wires or saints it was a scratch Hudds side who we should have brushed aside and put to the sword ,well we did for all of 10-15 mins then got a lesson in how to break down your opponent’s.It’s sad when you know the outcome of a game when it’s still got 30 mins left to play ,but that is happening far too often these days .

We forced a drop out they kicked it long and fafita and Miller made a complete mess of it they then pinned us back. Miller takes over kicking duties and finds the man every time, then we played to his side nearly all the game when their weakness was the other side which we had success on. The 2nd half was some of the worst stuff I’ve ever seen, simple game made look complicated

| Brain McDerrmott is/was Chris Chester but had the luxury of Sinfield, Peacock, Maguire, Burrow et al to get him out of a hole. When they all went Leeds were relegation fodder.

I seem to recall him coaching two seasons without the golden generation, one where they finished in the bottom four with us and topped the relegation group and the other where they won the grand final. I’m sorry sir but Brian McDermott has never been, will never be nor is Chris Chester.

You mean the season when Maguire and Burrow retired? The season they got walloped 66 something against Cas. Credit to them they won SL with a late push but for much of the season yhe Leeds fans were pretty much saying the same thins as Trinity fans are about Chester. No game plan, no structure, relying on older players. Leeds had better players, bigger resource yet they are still recovering from his tenure. The players he had well and truly covered up his averageness.
I think after that GF win (with the huge sentimental drive they had that year) they were back down fighting in the middle 8's again.

| I would also take a chance on Danny Ward he nearly kept London in SL well structured drilled side with no luxury players.

| Danny Ward is a realistic opition, out of work, a good few years coaching experience and seems to get players motivated/playing for each other. He seems to enthuse positivity and that reflects on his team. Our lot look miserable

That is a way better option than McDermot but don't hold your breath as it won't happen.

Agreed. We should move quick before he's snapped up elsewhere, it's likely Rugby Union will come calling soon.

As you well know you are comparing apples and oranges. That said I've no idea about Ward I don't pay enough attention to anyone other than Wakey and that is being tested to the limit

They lost by 9 points at Belle Vue and gave us a good hiding at Trailfinders, think he's higher already!

| I'd have Kear back in a shot personally, I still think our group of players is pretty good with some decent youth. I think he'd turn us round in 3/4 games

To a point I agree in that Ward was under very little pressure at London, big fish small pond.
However at the moment, we have sunk back to being a very similar club to London, we shouldn't be but we are.
After a few years playing and competing like a conventional team, we are now back to needing to find the mongrel spirit to survive as SL underdogs. In which case Ward might just fit the bill. He's certainly not tried and tested as Kear was but he showed enough to suggest he can get results from less than promising players.
Who would you suggest? Nobody immediately springs to mind. In a perfect world, JD would be the man but there is more chance of you or me getting the gig to be honest.

Why would he want to?
He got absolutely lambasted by the turncoats one here. If I were him and after all he had done for the club, I'd tell Wakey fans where to shove it. He's better off at Bradford.

Personally I'd rather go for a Wane or Kear....... Or an up and coming NRL coach who has good recommendations like JD did.
I think it needs someone with either a lot of experience or someone removed from the emotion who just wants to get a result and move on in 2 years.
If we had to go unproven English I'd go for James Ford at York.

Me too. Never wanted him to leave in the first place.
He can have all the Andrew Fifita money for me.

I actually admire your attempt to defend the indefensible and carrying on with the line who is better then Chester. The bar is set fairly low to be better than Chester so the way to look at it is who would be worse than Chester because this is a much smaller group.
I note your usual fellow Chester defenders BG and WWW and suspiciously absent leaving you a loan voice in the wind of despair.
