Just looking back at the Wally Lewis thread brought to mind some awful disappointments over the years both home and away. For me the two low lights were that Maurice Bamford inspired defeat in the challenge cup at thrum hall by Halifax when we were one of the fancied teams. The other being away at Keighley when we had I think 3-4 players sent off including the then captain/coach Geoff wraith for a clothes line tackle that would have graced the wrestling.

Any others ?

Whitehaven at home in the cup. The lowest of the low for me.

Way too many disappointments to mention.
Getting beat at Huddersfield, when we were riding high at the top of the league and they had only won 1 game ?, over 3000 Trinity fans filled the stand at one end of the ground and we got mullered. Although getting beaten at their place was a regular event, there was no way that we should have got done by that side.
Cant remember which season it was 6/7 years ago ?
Also losing to Catalan at home in the play offs.

And more recently, losing to Saints to miss out on a semi final play off when Grix messed up at the back - not the worst game as we were within millimetres of winning but, an awful result.

Plus the 2 games at London last season

God aye! The Grix game was a nighmare. Worse than the "Denley" during yesterdays Cricket Test Match v New Zealand and that was called the worst dropped catch ever since time began by many.

Also losing to Halifax at Odsall in the John Player Cup Final.

London away 1st game up last season doesn't come much worse.

Surely no1 has to be the 80-0 away at Warrington?

The drubbing by Cas around the time of SL beginning, was it 85-0?

That was the week after we were told we weren’t included in SL and we just gave up.

Huddersfield Sheffield away in 2000. Think we were about 2 - 32 up at half time, and went on to lose 35 - 34. My Dad didn't speak a word in the car on the drive home!

My Cas mates still use that as a conversation finisher.

you know what i had actually erased that from my mind...... or perhaps the game had actually erased the mind ....

The Sideshow Bob Semi Final at Doncaster in 2008?? has to be right up there

They were not the worst games I've ever seen but I reckon that last season won a lot of prizes for the most boring RL I've ever watched at BV. During that losing streak, some of those games left me comatose at times. Maybe it was because we started the season playing some great stuff or that the previous few seasons were also full of entertaining Rugby but at times it seemed utterly clueless.

If this season gets better than that I'll be happy. As for worst games, there have been a lot tbh but I tend to wipe them from my memory.

It'll be hard to pin it on one particular game for me but a real abysmal time as a Trinity fan for me was 2011, Rounds 19-26.

It was a let down but, we played quite well for most of that game. It just finished too soon.

Since that day and perhaps there was a similar game at home vs warrington losing a huge league i've never been able to trust / been comfortable being up on the scoreboard vs anyone and thinking we've won.
Always felt we could throw anything away, thats slightly changed over last few years but those games linger in the memory.

Shudd at home 7 or 8 years ago 50 nil and jk said we were lucky to get nil

Think it was a drubbing at home by Halifax before S L We were stood at the side of the pitch in between the try line and the 25 line .Second half all the play was down at the far end .One gentlemen near by was using fowl language all second half Near the end of the game two policemen came and ask him to stop.He replied "you get paid to come hear I've paid to watch the ******** grass grow .Every body stared laughing, the police shook there heads and walked away .

Whilst 2011 was bad in results I’m prepared to overlook it considering the team was pretty much kids.

Sheffield Eagles away in 2015 middle 8s at Bramhall Lane

Another game that sticks in mind was at the boulevard , we turned up, but half the team weren’t playing as allegedly they hadn’t been paid think it was 2000 season - McNamara Holland, Goulding , paul Sampson, dorahy, maloney , McNamara , handforth, Kemp , Ellis- think he was injured, think I could have got a game we had so many mysterious injuries !!

Andy Kelly's last game in charge. Away at Halifax. Only game I have ever left at half time.

Officially his last game in charge!
His actual last game in charge was a win at Salford a few games earlier.
After that Pearman sacked him and Harbin took over with immediate effect.
