| On 14th September the club stated on the website that the early bird prices would be held until Saturday 30th November.
This week, they tweeted that the deadline for early bird prices finishes on Saturday 19th October at 5.0 pm ?
Is there an actual change to the deadline or, is one of these for the staged payments option ?

| Early bird should run right up until the new year, giving people time to decide and budget.
It's overprice IMO anyway.

| If it was priced at that Dreadnought, we'd struggle even more regarding budgets and the salary cap.
Most NRL clubs season tickets are priced lower than that of any SL club, but NRL clubs receive better TV sponsorships and also the clubs that ran over there. I believe the one Penrith have, operate around 1000 slot machines, all of which make money.
I also think that the sponsorship/hospitality packages are priced higher in the NRL.
Think the best way to offer any reduced ticket would be targetting some of the new builds going/gone up around the city, as some of these may well be new to the area.
Another way, to try to boost sales with a discounted ticket may be to, say run between Christmas and the first home game, compare like for like areas in the city, (ie Outwood and Stanley) and see if there are any areas that aren't selling as well as the other, and maybe do a leaflet drop in that area, with a slightly discounted season ticket. If there is then an increase, then look at another part of the city, and so on.
It sounds hard work, and time and cost consuming, but say this happened and a further few hundred season tickets got sold, then surely it is working

| I’m guessing they can do a deal like that due to having thousands more fans than Wakey, more revenue from sponsors , oh ... and consistently successful on the pitch just guessing mind.

The individual game tickets are cheaper too. I went to watch a few NRL games in April, and tickets for Cronulla and Penrith were $22 and $25, which is around £14 and £17. And there are fewer home games (I think). So the Storm season tickets reflect the admissions prices.

| I totally understand the reason Melbourne are able to offer prices like that, including tickets on the day and I realise we couldn’t survive whilst offering tickets so cheap.
It would just be interesting to see how teams like Wakefield are trying to mimic the NRL deals and do we ever see Adult ticket pricing ever dropping?
I guess more fans equals more room for movement, be interesting to see how many season tickets we’d sell at £150 a pop...

Paid a visit there last October and couldn't believe how many there were. Most pubs & clubs in Australia have them but Penrith's Leagues Club was like Las Vegas, and given the average Aussies love of the 'Pokies' they must make a mint from them.
By the way, the Penrith Team of the Century is on a board in the reception and contains the name of a former Trinity favourite, one Mr Bill Ashurst.

There are so many differences between the way sport is funded in Australia compared to the UK that it makes comparisons very difficult.
However state and federal funding does play a huge part. Some clubs are propped up by wealthy Leagues clubs though more and more are not.
Apart from the funding and the leagues clubs I think it’s fair to say that the Australian game has always been run more as a business than the UK game.
Much bigger TV revenue also helps.
It would be nice to be them but we are not. In a way it’s surprising that SL does as well as it does when you look at the advantages the NRL has.

As per my previous comment I’m well aware why they are able to offer the pricing they do and it doesn’t matter if it was $26.5m or $26.50 in funding my comment doesn’t change...
“It would just be interesting to see how teams like Wakefield are trying to mimic the NRL deals and do we ever see Adult ticket pricing ever dropping?”
I’m not asking for £14 tickets, I just think people find it hard to justify £25 on a ticket because even with the list of reasons why teams like Melbourne are able to subsidise pricing being as long as it is, the bottom line remains the same; They charge less money to watch a better grade of rugby and in better facilities.

I'm not sure that comparing prices for watching RL in Australia is relevant.
Trinity's season tickets are comparable with other clubs in the UK and we know where cheap ticket offers got us last time around
It's everyone's prerogative whether or not to watch or do what ever they want but, if we all pay 10% less than there would be a direct effect on salary cap spend so, for the club it's all about balance and maximising their income accross the board.

| Just 9% of attendances pay on the day and of these a significant proportion are away fans and not adults either so I suspect only around 3% are actually paying £25!!

You're avoiding the question.
Budget being the most important thing of all, the SL season finished on Saturday officially. That means families with bills and children to prioritise have to find £55 per month (per person) to find.
I've sorted my ticket already, so I don't have to worry but the comment at the end of last season in jest or not about selling more season tickets is absolutely laughable at these prices.
So I will reiterate it would just be interesting to see how teams like Wakefield are trying to mimic the NRL deals and do we ever see Adult ticket pricing ever dropping?
