I’m torn on this if true, I was happy with the no nonsense stance the club took over his contract, but he is a good player.

Personally, if he does return, I don’t want him playing full back I think Walker is a much better there. For me he needs to be our starting no7, if he isn’t I really don’t see the point in resigning him.

Brilliant if true, only my opinion but I think he would make a brilliant fast hooker in the loose from acting half back + he can pass well, be very quick off the mark, side step & create things from speed. After all woody was a half back ! Could be a resolve of issues for Rocky & a learning curve for him + a resolve for wakey. It doesn't matter about packing down now & winning the ball. In the loose he is a good tackler but would have to get used to being targeted by props running at him, but so does woody !

this week, news on Ryan Hampshire: who now looks set to stay at Wakefield after all.

Someone posted on Facebook on Friday he was back with Wakefield.

He not bad tackler but not sure if he can cope with defence as a 9

When we first signed him he played hooker at Hull KR away and did the job, wouldn’t say it came naturally though...

Let’s see if he signs first.

Assuming he has signed let’s hope it’s more than a 1 year deal - also be interesting to see where he fits in the squad given that we already have specialists at 1 6 and 7 . Be a true test to see if everyone’s fit to see if he can secure a starting spot

Great to have Hampshire back in the squad but, it will be interesting where Chester is thinking of playing him.

Coming off the bench as Woody has done in the past may be the best option but, we have to wait and see.

Put brough at hooker and Rocky at scrum half. Brough from the bench would be a better option for me.

I'd have probably bet on Gallan coming before a Hampshire deal.

If it's true there has been a lot of hard work on both sides put in to get that over the line.

Wonder which side made the concessions? Maybe the Toronto funding got the green light to be spread out amongst the other teams and that helped. Would love to get true inside track on this one.

Also be interested to see where Chester plays him. Utility for 2020 and 7 the year after?

If there is any substance in this, very pleased.Do not care where he plays, as he is the ideal ‘utility’ player .We are bound to suffer injuries and more often than not he will be in the 17.

Surely you would want him running at tiring defences and exploiting slow markers, rather than doing the real hard defence early in the game.
Brough's main asset is his RL brain and steering the side around the park, whereas Rocky is all about speed and evasive skills ?

Don't want to sound negative or put a Downer on things, but if this is true will be come with a positive attitude and give his all or is it a case of no-one wanting him and him reluctantly having to accept our offer or be out of work.
