Finally got around to watching the Catalan game on the TV last night as I was in attendance at Anfield.

How good was that try from Ben Jones Bishop to watch with the switch from Koppy? Every now and then we pull a move out of the bag which is sublime and straight from the Chris Chester coaching manual, it really is great to watch and it seems to work most of the time!

Why don`t we see more play like this? In 2017 Cas were playing like this throughout the season and it was great to watch but I haven't seen much since, I see subtle smart play all the time with simple numbers, utilising the DR, Inside switches etc but not so much set plays from outside the box like this.

Yes it was, something I have posted on before, Chester when @ HKR. Used to have various set moves 15 m out with two dummy runners running towards the wing & two other runners at an opposite angle with the ball handler as 2nd receiver having multiple cboices, this nearly always resulted in a try, defenders had selection multiple tackle choices. We need more of these options close to the line !

Seen us use Arona also do this as a pivot. One time we were actually cheeky enough to do this from receiving the kick off against Widnes and MCB our Bill in for the try.

That’s what frustrates many Trinity fans at present. We know we have got it but it’s so sporadic this season, even taking injuries into account.

There was a thread on here about us being due a good hiding and that was frighteningly true. However it could just have easily been entitled ‘we are due to give somebody a good hiding’.

Don’t get excited though as it’s very unlikely to be Saints!

Got sent our injury list and weeks out yesterday. Got me thinking how many other clubs would still be competing for top 5 if they had lost there 2,3,6,7,9,10,11,13,16 and 17 for large chunks,if not all, of the season?

If we can transition some of those back in smoothly we'll be looking great for the end of the season.

The fringe players who have played have gained great experience over this time too.

Thats why as you say where we currently are and with some of these coming back, I am still confident of a Top 5 finish.

Watching this back Gigot should have been in big trouble the way he dived in feet first. Was anything said by Hicks or the match officials at the time?

Great little set play it was. Been a while since I've seen us put on a decent reverse play like that. Worked a treat.

Gigot is a grub. If you look back at one of Johnstone’s tries in a home game, not sure if it was last season or the season before. Johnstone runs around to go under the sticks and Gigot try’s the kick him as he puts the ball down.

This also was ignored.

I don't like Gigot's attitude in games. I feel he gets more than the rub of the green off the officials. Against us in a fair tackle he was on the ground rubbing the back of the neck looking for a penalty. He is always in the officials faces questioning decisions.
