So he’s having the pins out of his thumb on Thursday and he’s supposed to be playing on Saturday?

Is it just me or does this seem unrealistic ?
What about rehab ? Surely having your hand out of action so long needs a week or so to get the movement back properly?
I know nothing about Physio so could be completely wrong, we do need him back fast but would it be too soon.

Not unrealistic, I had pins removed from my thumb a few years ago and although a little bit sore I had no issues with movement a few hours later.

The pins are only there to hold a fracture whilst it fully heals, the procedure itself to remove takes about 2 minutes.

It would be hope's he's been running & practising his goalkicking if not ............

I’m no expert but I would have thought that this injury would still allow him to do 95% of his training. Certainly fitness and skills like kicking.

yeah agree. I haven't had pins in my hand but I did brake a few fingers years ago and I was training with the squad the next week - I just couldn't get involved in full contact practice and things like drilling attacking moves. I remember spending more time running and kicking than anything so I guess it will be similar for Danny.

Chester doesn’t sound confident of Brough playing this week. Also MCB doubts. Jack Croft into the 19. Looks like we’ve got to do it the hard way.

Shoes how different people see different things, I thought Chester was confident Brough would play this weekend.

Hope the so called fans (people who watch it on TV ) when they could go lay of them if things go bad .Big ask without our pack leader out and if C B is out too.Looks likely that our 8 and 9 pick for the three quarter spot are in Chester as done all he can to fill these spots since T J and T injuries, but you got to have a bit of luck and we are short of it at present. I am going to the match think the team needs us to turn up at a time like this

Shaw-Wright asks him in The interview, any injuries back? Chester says no, then he says maybe Brough. Either he is playing mind games are that sounds as though he isn’t confident that he’ll play.Time will tell I suppose.

Brough is named in the squad for Saturday.

It’ll be a late decision then, fingers crossed.

I know we had to risk Brough for this fixture. Desperation really because of our lack of a kicking game. Clearly not even %50 ready. Pins out Thursday, starting Saturday against the best team in the league was a very big ask. Tried his best like the rest of them, just hope he hasn’t done more damage.
